    So what is the average mpg to for a 4x4 v10 crew cab? I know they are some of the more stout gassers. I have seen a few with 325k+ miles on them. What is everyone's opinion on them? Do you like them better than a similar truck with a 5.4?

    Ok. I may look for a 6.5, or a k20 with a 6.2, or even an m1008 if I can find one. The only problem with the m1008 is it has no ac, and summers can get pretty hot.

    We actually had a 84 f150 with the straight 6 in it, one of the best motors ever. The body was so rough it would cost more than the truck was worth to fix it.

    I thought about looking for an obs 7.3 powerstroke or a 12 valve, but the 7.3 re-manufactured injectors are $185 a pop! And there's other things that cost $$.     What year does the electronic ds4 range from? 95 to 2000? If so probably one of those, although I did see a 93 6.5 that was in good shape. I'd probably keep looking for a 95-2000 though.

    Well here it is, plain and simple. What would you say the average mpg for an 84 F350 crew cab, with a carbureted 460, and a 4 speed. Truck is at stock height and doesn't have bigger tires. It is factory 4x4.
