    Moose or CCD injection pump?

Wes is more 'send in yours, and I'll rebuild it', if not mistaken. I think I want to keep my pump, and injectors; I think they might be, to probably okay. But My problem I think is a very slow air intrusion; once the

    Moose or CCD injection pump?

I'm in the market as well. Reached out to CCD, R&D, and Moose Diesel/Conestoga. CCD never responded through their website, nor on here from an IM I sent Wes. Suzi from Moose is on board, and immediately responded about my inquiry; I haven't ordered yet, as I wanted to make sure it was still...

Overview/tips on the servicing of air intake, valley pan, and valve covers - 7.3 IDIT

I know there are numerous opinions of what to do, and what to use. Anymore, I try to stick to motorcraft for the engine. My truck(avatar) was recently crushed by a 6000 pound hemlock in a windstorm. It missed me by 2 seconds, but landed across the hood. Between having the truck towed, and...

    Manual glow plug wiring help?

Disclosure, it's been a while since I've messed with my glow plugs.... However you wire it, just remember to complete the circuit; it's always a loop, and a switch is simply a break in that loop(whether +, or -); if that helps at all.

    Rebuild, Power Stroke or Cummins?

Man, I'd like to see a write up on your centrifuge setup. Justin/R&D has I think an entire IDI rebuild series on Youtube. As far as his plenum stuff, it looks decent, and I liked the idea of ceramic coatings on them which he offers for heat retention. I wrapped my crossover pipes, and uppipe...

Biting the bullet: Converting to electric fuel pump

I've been looking at this---->>>> https://powerdrivendiesel.com/product/12v-predator-lift-pump/ Why can't this be adapted to our engines?

Cleaning out some spare IDI parts

I bought a 93' shuttle bus; got any kits for an E350?

What do y’all pull with your truck?

I haul whatever, got a 40' 5th wheel(way too heavy for the truck), and a couple goosenecks that I usually load heavy. The one thing I don't do, is haul fast, lol. But for a truck that I've got less than $6,000 into between cost, and improvements, I can't ask for much more.

Diesel rookie, feeling a little overwhelmed

Another couple easy mods are running a grounded wire through a switch for the option of manual glow plugs(it can be nice), and also a headlight relay to save your dash from any possible overload issues; the switches burn up due to being overloaded.

    Think it’s worth it

Heck yeah, it's worth it. The banks almost does it alone. I just pulled the trigger on the IDI shuttle bus in Spokane.

    is this a good deal?

Yes'sir, was reading up on it this afternoon. I guess none of the E series had tachs, but an OBS F series instrument cluster, should fit the OBS E with a couple wire alterations from what I've read. I don't think I'm too worried about having the tach to look at though. It puffed whitish...

    is this a good deal?

Okay, so I think it's done bought. It was around 30 degrees, and cold started okay; may just need a stronger battery. The Radius arm is cracked, but it's a hairline; that I should be able to weld back easy enough; that or flex seal it... The brakes are good, there is one rotor that will...

    is this a good deal?

Okay, I appreciate the replies. I was adding up the parts, and it seems good. I'm really curious to see if the guy tomorrow, is aware of any history.

    is this a good deal?

Hi All, I'm going to look at this in the AM ---->>> https://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/d/spokane-bus-93-ford-350-diesel-73-engine/6799238953.html I don't think there's too much history, short of it being abused, or rusted out, it seems like a good deal; any thoughts? Appreciated in advance.

    Zf5 starting in 2nd/floating gears

Sometimes, you just gotta float it into gear. I've read several folks on here who've had Master/slave cylinder issues, meaning no clutch to use at the time. You'll also read some folks, myself included, with no clutch at the time, have limped these trucks home by shutting the engine down at a...

Buying 85 IDI ATS turbo motorhome!

Flush the radiator, may want to check the fluid, and perhaps have it running from cold with the cap off; looking for bubbles(head gaskets). I was researching Diesel RV's a while back, and often times, the diesels fail in under 100k miles. From what I understand, it's from people basically not...

Best order to install factory turbo parts?

Just my 2 cents, If installing a turbo, plan on doing return lines(if old), glow plugs(if old), and might as well throw in a grounded wire from the glow plug controller to a push button inside the cab for manual glow plug control. It shouldn't add too much work for the switch, as I'd assume...

Update: Front brakes won't disengage after rear brake job

I'm sure this isn't your case, but on the thought of 'can't imagine what', my front passenger wheel locked up, due to a rock caught between the wheel, and backer plate/caliper. It wouldn't fall out, due to the flat wide portion of the wheel; it actually rode like that for quite a while; at...

Post your cold starts, they’re fun to watch

I've got newer batteries, and glow plugs; so no issues with cold starts(within the last few years). The average high here in the winter is usually around 30*, often times in the teens. I remember growing up in Texas, and my dad putting cardboard in the radiator. I remember a lot of folks down...

    Exhaust restricive

I've not run an NA straight piped; I know if it's done right, and get rid of the y pipes, it'll have more power. As far as the sound, from what I understand it's very loud. There are threads on here of folks doing it.

    Exhaust restricive

I'm turbo'd, and straight piped out before the rear tire. I don't have the greatest hearing in the world, but it's hardly any louder than when the muffler was there. When my wife has driven the truck, and I've stayed, you can't hear the truck past the drive way; I know a Cummins straight...
