Started the removal of the turbo and pedestal on my 97. My hand feels like it’s been through a meat grinder.
I finally broke and bought the 15mm swivel socket for the bottom turbo flange bolts
Okay, for anyone who may stumble across this in the future. The fuel supply ports going into the back of each head is 1/8” NPT. I’m still trying to determine the threads on the fuel pump for the banjo bolt.
97 ccsb 4wd 7.3
Can anyone tell me the thread size of the fuel supply lines that go into the back of the heads from the banjo bolt on the fuel pump? Also the thread size of the banjo bolt itself? Thanks
Bump.
Attached is the thread for the work that was done. I may end up having to part out even though I don’t want to so if your interested in anything specific let me know.

I am stepping away from the idi platform for now but keeping my truck for another project. So up for grabs is my 6.9 with ATS turbo and C6 trans. ARP head studs installed. 7.3 idit heads recently gone through. great running 7.3 idit inj. pump. and brand new Delphi injectors with very little run...
No problem.

I’m pleased with the look of the combo gauge. Especially that you were able to utilize the location of the old pyro.
I’ve never flipped the fuel tank selector switch since I’ve owned the truck. That’ll be something we address in the future.
I honestly don’t think I would have a turbo on my truck if it hadn’t already had it when I bought it. Not because I don’t want it, but because I wouldn’t have been able to afford the add on. I’ll admit I felt like I found myself a gem when I learned about the turbo upon purchasing. I bought the...
I have no doubts that he’s done a stellar job of getting my truck where it needs to be with what my wallet would allow. I would’ve loved to go with a much stouter bottom end (he expressed his concerns also) but it just wasn’t in the cards unfortunately.
Evening everybody,
Just want to give a big shout out to Wes for his patience in our dealings! I’ve had many questions and concerns throughout this process and he’s remained approachable and professional entirely! As the days pass I’m definitely getting more anxious to get the truck back but I...
Oh the truck has a tick it didn’t have prior to this event. I wasn’t convinced all that material blew out when it gave. He got a ride to the parts store, bought (1) Bosch, and replaced. Left the other 7 autolites..
:dunno|stupid
To answer your question regarding the turbo. My truck runs the older style turbo system and was on 7 cylinders with bent pushrod and I was pleased with its performance lol for what’s it worth
And keep that 6.9..
I know they’ve been crap for the past 15 years or so. Had a buddy in high school whos f150 decided it wanted to eat not one but two autolites.
I’m guilty for running cheap autolites in the past on the old 351w in my mustang. Well, before a failed connecting rod wrapped around the crank. Got...
They’re trash to say the least. First thing I did when I bought my idi was get the autolite glow plugs out as fast as possible.
Driving 80mph in a 4 banger ranger (8 sparkys) in OD sounds like a grenade going off when it blew out.
