    093 turbo ww2 moose junior

Did you install the WW2 yourself? If so do you just mark the nut and retorque it to the same spot, or do they come with torque specs to use? I know the powerstroke guys seem to just install the wheel with no balancing and have great results with it, I was unsure if our install was the same or not.

Potentially looking at an 03 quad cab long bed Cummins with the 6speed

I have come across an 03 Quad cab with the 6speed for sale, I know the 03-04 had less problems than the later years, but the truck I am looking at has 250k on the clock but looks like it has 50k. The guy who is selling it is a well known guy who flips high mileage diesels all the time with a...

Fluid chnage in E4OD throws a code!

Yes keep posted, that's too bad because as a novice this job only took about two five hour days and one three to four hour day from the time we started til we were done. I did not inspect all the parts though, I just installed the tugger kit along with the new converter, and that upgraded pin...

Fluid chnage in E4OD throws a code!

Now keep us updated on that code 62, and what it decides to do. The trans probably saw you order all the parts and thought, man I guess it's time to straighten up, otherwise he's going to make me shift like a truck should.

Fluid chnage in E4OD throws a code!

I think your list looks good, and could possibly be stickied. I should have ordered the seperator plate and valve body gaskets also but the ones in there were okay. Also the reuseable pan gasket? It's not pictured, i had to run out and buy mine as I put the rubber one that came with the filter...

New to me truck infamous code 62

Ya my first rebuild on a trans was a Honda automatic, and it was close to a manual trans, but was confusing because of the two different shafts, and having to press everything on and off, as for the E4OD it looks as though everything just goes inline, inside the housing, after looking at a...

New to me truck infamous code 62

I actually forgot about the snap rings, they were in the box behind the tray that holds all the springs, and before assembly I had already taken the metering plate and put it on top of the springs, as I drilled it ahead of time. So, I got in too much of a hurry. Honestly though if we had done it...

New to me truck infamous code 62

Alright first of all pulling the trans has got to be the easiest way to install the tugger kit and the exhaust, second of all it now shifts like a truck should, this is a must when doing any trans work, I will update on the longevity of the converter and whether the code comes back, but I tried...

New to me truck infamous code 62

Thanks to your posts, I knew what I was getting into before tackling this, thanks very much. We are buttoning up the new turbo back and just need to install the drive shafts, the skid plate, and top off the fluid.

We installed the full tugger kit except the snap rings, so I'm excited to see how it shifts today

New to me truck infamous code 62

Alright pulled the trans and installed the transgo tugger kit and a new torque converter, the old one was quite discolored on the stud side, looks like it was getting hot. The trans is sitting back in the truck , tomorrow I'll get it buttoned back up and will report what the outcome is. In all...

Fluid chnage in E4OD throws a code!

There was a service bulletin on the mlps somewhere too, if you don't have that I'll try to find a link. It had to do with adjusting it.

Fluid chnage in E4OD throws a code!

I'm not sure how that harness is, I'll try to look at it today, we got the trans jack under the trans last night all that's left are the mounting bolts and it will come out, I'll be inspecting all the wiring and connectors with a comb while it's out. I usually grab a paper clip or a piece off...

Any new info on what happened with the wheel, I was contemplating one but am now second guessing that after reading this.

WTB gooseneck hitch B&W or equal

I believe my brother has one, ill have to check on the brand though, it has two rails for sure and then you can either mount the gooseneck or a fifth wheel, all he has is the gooseneck attachment. If this sounds like what your looking for I will try to get some pictures. The guy who had the...

    Timing tool rental??

Oh sorry guess I didn't read this good enough, took about an hour to time it, but I hear to take the lines off the injectors and take the whole thing over to a bench, swap the lines on the bench, then reassemble.

    Timing tool rental??

It was a little frustrating getting the bolts loose but only took about an hour or so, I did need to clean out the groove in my harmonic balancer to get a good rpm reading. I would advise doing it yourself you can mark it in a few spots then move it if you need to.

Code 62 continued, torque convertor shudder

I tried a tube of that dr. Tranny shudder fix, it has remedied the problem for now, but I'm still replacing the converter when it arrives. I'll let you know if the code 62 comes back but the converter is going in on the 9th so I'm flushing it out of the system then.

New to me truck infamous code 62

I just got the Dacco one from rockauto, I would probably go with something a little better if I thought the trans would go more than 40k more, but I highly doubt it. When I do a full rebuild more money will be spent on an upgraded converter.

New to me truck infamous code 62

Thank you I know that's not my problem but I was beginning to wonder if it would become an issue in the future, thanks for the reassurement. I'll try to take a few pics when I install the new converter, I'll also be installing a diamond eye catback, by welding on the oem flange.

New to me truck infamous code 62

Has anyone tried the Dr. Tranny shudder fix (I heard it was mostly designed for this issue from ford) I am planning on flushing the trans when I do the converter, obviously, so I was thinking of giving it a shot for a week? I've read good things about it, but i will still be replacing the converter.

New to me truck infamous code 62

Yes that has been changed recently and I can actually feel the converter shuddering now. Will probably have to park it until I can replace the converter, I don't need the converter throwing it's parts throughout the trans.
