I'm accustomed to turning my IP with a 3/4" open-ended wrench and turnbuckle. There is a square 3/4" nub on the front.
However, I'm currently using my backup IP from an old 6.9 while my regular IP gets checked out. That 6.9 IP has no nub on the front. I don't want to undo the injector...

Does anyone know which of these bushings and what order they go in? My friend mixed up all the parts. Do I use any of the green arrow parts at all? Or just the yellow arrow grease cap.
I'm putting the magenta into the orange. See image for the color arrows.

After a day of fiddling with my spare batteries, I finally got my engine running on a stand. Once all the lines were bled and I had enough voltage charged up on my battery, it started very easily and ran fine.
I don't want to run the thing a lot on the stand without coolant, so I shut it...
I got my engine rebuilt on the stand. Ready to start to test it. I have a wire to the FSS. I have a ground from the block to the negative terminal. I put a positive cable to the starter. can't figure out how to jump it. Any advice?
I've already sized my top and 2nd piston rings ok. I'm working on the oil rings, and unlike most of the oil-ring tutorials on the net, the IDI oil-ring setup is different. It has a concentric wire inside the coil, that it surrounded by a ring housing.
I can grind the ring housing no problem...
