    More e4od woes

Wanted to close this out in case anyone has similar issues. Turns out it was the computer, the new rebuilt one that I got was bad out of the box

    More e4od woes

Checked those, everything seems to be good there. As an update, plugged the old computer back in and the o/d light/switch functioned like it is supposed to (tach still doesn't work with that one though) so am I safe to assume that this is the most likely culprit?

    More e4od woes

Button was the first thing I tried, not the issue. Computer is fresh from rebuild just installed today, light came on immediately on start up, would it still have codes stored? Not trying to be a smartA, legitimate question

    More e4od woes

Sorted out my previous tach problem, ended up being the computer. Replaced it along with new trans and convertor and now have a new problem. Got everything in and buttoned up, started the truck and found the o/d light on, steady and bright, and no overdrive. So my question, what should I...

    Need E4OD help

The strangest part is that, unless I don't understand it, it doesn't seem to be putting the truck into limp mode. It still shifts through all the gears, including OD, and I can toggle the "OD Off" button normally (light just doesn't work because it's blinking.

    Need E4OD help

Well, a small update. The dim OD light/transmission issue turned out to be the diode that is in the fuse panel under the hood. $9 from Ford and it's back to normal. I still don't have a tach, replaced the sensor in the IP cover again just to double check that, and am no at a total loss for that...

    Need E4OD help

Yes sir, the tach sensor on the IP cover is the one I was talking about. Thank you guys for all of the suggestions. I rechecked fuses this morning and everything seems to be in working order. When I get home later I'm going to check the plugs again and see if maybe there's an issue there...

    Need E4OD help

I resurrected this truck after it sat for about 5 years, and have chased a lot of little ghosts trying to get it back into shape. This one has me so perplexed I'm almost ready to throw in the towel. The worst part is that it started as just the tach not working, then went to the dim OD light...

    Need E4OD help

I should have added, checked all the fuses one by one visually and across the the tops with a meter. I may check them all again in the morning though just to be double sure, this is driving me insane

    Need E4OD help

92 F250 IDI with E4OD-Tach was intermittent & then stopped completely. Checked the cam sensor with volts & ohms, both tested good. Also tried new cam sensor, didn't fix the problem. Have traced continuity from cam sensor all the way to the gauge cluster, verified all the wires are intact...
