After all this time. The mechanic finally got it into the shop (hes been extremely busy) and within an hour had it solved. I know it doesnt make any sense. And it doesnt matter if I put the original gem back in either. Only thing with that is 4x4 doesnt work again and no start.. I've just ran out of brain capacity for this thing. I've done so much research, I've listened and tried so many ideas from everyone here...- 90f250

I will let everyone know the outcome when I get it to a shop and they find the problem. This is the VERY FIRST time and hopefully the only time that I've taken a vehicle to a shop because I cant do it myself or figure the problem out myself.. I'm not happy- 90f250

Whatever the problem is, is before the engine sensors. I disconnected the 42 pin and still the same thing happens.- 90f250

Ok after fiddling around with this thing again.. I've got to have a short. I have power and ground BOTH at the ipr yellow/red wire, power and ground BOTH at a few others as well and I'm pretty sure it was one of my pcm key on power wires too.. my problem is I still cannot find where anything is...- 90f250

Yes they will all 3 connect to pretty much anything with an obd 2 port. I do have power at cig lighter and at the obd port. But no scan tool will actually link to the pcm. I can run the tests through the gem by bypassing the pcm, i.e. the injector buzz test and the other multi function tests but...- 90f250

Yes I took every single ground off and wire wheeled them all to make sure it's got good ground everywhere, lol. I hate wiring gremlins...the only issue is I dont have another psd around that uses the dpc-402 pcm like mine does. And I just had mine rebuilt because of all this mess thinking that...- 90f250

Yes I did and it also hasn't done anything either. I keep seeing things randomly about an auxiliary powertrain control module... would it shut down my main pcm? I think I just found the damn thing sitting middle of the dash on the floor behind a black plastic cover. Not sure if it's a problem or...- 90f250

according to the guy at diesel tech of chattanooga, if the ses light stays on but i dont have wts fuel pump or tach movement when cranking, its a sure sign of the computer either being fried or a bad ground, power or reference wire. this all being said, scan tool still wont connect to it. ive...- 90f250

Nope..unfortunately not. I checked it, knocked it to pop it up then switched it back down to normal. One of the many first thoughts I had. I honestly think it does have to be something extremely simple however I may be overlooking. I just cant figure out what it is(obviously)- 90f250

Well it's been a week or so now, I cant find a single thing wrong with any wiring or other components. I went ahead and had my pcm rebuilt and guess what... NOTHING CHANGED. I'm still without wts, fuel pump, and no tach movement when cranking. I legitimately am stumped and apparently everyone...- 90f250
