Still on the hunt. Seem to be fewer trucks the further into summer it gets here.
On a side note I had my first day (orientation) at the mack/volvo dealer. Which means im one step closer to a new to me truck!
Torqued the radius arm nuts not just did it good n tight right?
from the wheels and work in. Usually the easiest way I find to do it when I have camber issues on the bronco
I have had good experience with the customer service at cyberdyne for their digital gauges. Lifetime warrany in fact. I probably send my digitals out every 2 or 3 months because the led lights burn out. Aka. Dont go cyberdyne for digital.
Never had a good result when coming across them on the 6liters. Cartridge doesnt actually match up like its supposed to and its always in bypass. Just off that alone id lean towards getting a filter from the stealership for my personal vehicle.
I got a 6k price quote for the e4od rebuild on my bronco over here in the bay area too. Went the same route you did. Took a couple tried but finally got it together and working. Good luck to you on the rebuold man! Make sure to put everything in order that you take out and put everything in the...
i see what could be a crack in the middle tooth of the top spider gear
cant tell if thats just the picture though
idk the specifics of your axle. but getting that crosspin out could be a PITA while its still in there
of course i could be wrong and im sure more knowladgable people than I...
Is there anyways the intake horn (believe thats the correct term the thing that says banks sidewinder on it) can be rotated 90 degrees so the opening is facing forward so one could rig an intercooler into the system? Or does it have to go on that particular way?
Looks pretty straight...
axle wrap is when the axle wraps itself from torque flowing through the driveshaft. it can be avoided by the use of tracbars and by avoiding liftblocks. really trac bars are the only sure way to avoid it but ive never seen an axle wrap itself when using just leafpacks. im sure its been done...
It is indeed more difficult to off road with a manual. At least in my crawling experience. In terms of gas vs diesel. Neither one really have that much of an advantage over the other. Ideally I would like to run a 6.9 idi in my crawler once this gas engine blows. Gas will occasionally not build...
If you can try and document everything when you do the sag swap thatd be awesome im sure wed all love to see it here.
THe cooler and filter is a must. Mine is being cooled by a factory E4OhDamn trans cooler and it does the job havent had a boilover yet and im turning easily with the 37s...
Summit had them awhile back. Not sure if they still do believe they were helper air spring kits rated to 5k lbs or something like that
Id go get some more leaves to throw in the back though if it were me. Or get them re arched. But that won't last forever
Im expecting a 3 hours drive minimum to get the one I end up liking. But yeah ill definitely need proof it runs and drives fine.
COsmetically I see the tailgate missing FO
Passenger side front blinker missing
Door hinges look like they could be replaced. I notice some sag
Overall...
found a crew cab dually... for 12,000. about 5000 more than i really would want to pay for it if it were in prime condition.

if it was serviced at left coast diesel i could probably get the records from them on what all was done to it...
should be fine. ive seen many a vehicle (mostly chrysler products and the last year or two of diamler/chrysler, but im sure they've all done it) come from factory with 4.10 in the rear and 4.11 in the front. you just want to make sure the front has the slightly higher numerical ratio
by no...
Could be dirty fuel. If it runs a little better after the filter change you can lean towards a fuel related issue but dont rule out anything so far. Do you have an electric transfer pump or the factory one still? Could be another problem right there.
I was going to say a complete reseal would be one of the first things I did regardless of turbo or not but I may have just found a buddy with a rebuild kit with everything down to new casting plugs.
If This is the case I will definitely be looking to go non turbo since I dont want a turbo...
thanks man
i tossed the idea of york and A/C around in my head with the idi build. but im pretty set on the electric compressor in the back. that way i dont have to be running the engine everytime i need air, it will be much more serviceable, and way less work.
ive fallen in love with the...
saginaw cleaned up plus cooler and york
saginaw bolted in with first plate for the york mount bracket
i need to go through the air lines again, got a leak in the rear. I think its the T going into the air tank on the rear side because i can get air out of the front of the truck but...
