    Please look into Schaeffers Oils and you will be glad you did. Their Base is by far the best and they are the only ones to add a anti friction lubricant. Mileage and power gains are very common with this oil. My 1000hp Dmax lasted 60k miles with Schaeffers fluid, i beat the crap out of that...

    The 04 LB7 will command 23.000 psi at wide open throttle which the stock cp3 can do on a stock tune. It struggles to maintain that pressure when fuel is added with a big tune and cant keep up so the pressure starts to drop off causing the loss of power. Log a run at WOT and see what the rail...

    still needs a lift pump to supply the cp3 injection pump. A modded cp3 wont help get fuel from the tank to the pump, only helps push more fuel rail pressure.

    The 06-07 is LBZ and 07.5-08 is the LMM. Different body styles but simular motors. Those are good years and easy to work on.     If hes running a PPE hot tune he will need a lift pump so the rail pressure can keep up witht he fuel commanded. I bet he drops a full second or more with a lift pump.
