    To be honest goose that was the main reason I bought the truck. 3k just for the unit plus install!!!!!! The guy had all the work done at a ford dealer or diesel performance shop. I wish it was ext cab though!

    Lol I know they are quite hidious! I will remove the cap after hunting season. Well I picked it up last Saturday it has a 94 7.3 IDI non turbo engine with 40000 on it, 4 speed with gear vendor, 33" bfg's brand new, 4" dynomax exhaust, electric fuel pump, brand new hitch with wire harness...

    THanks a lot! That's what I've heard. They put an electric pump on it and all the injectors were done along with both fuel tanks and lines. I hope I will be trouble free for a while but you never know with these old rigs! It sure is fun though!

    That's exactly what he said I should have been more clear on that. I took the gear vendor pics, posted them and it was too dark I will post them for sure tomorrow. You guys are gonna love the diamond plate running boards!!! Lol

    it's very possible you can't trust many people these days. He had done a lot of the work on the trucks that the gentleman owned who I bought the truck from. I have known this guy for a while but not real well. He does have a successful shop though

    i know LOL and it doesnt help my driveway is between the 2 houses probably making it sound louder. I think it's the coolest thing ive ever owned!!!!!!!!

    I posted on another thread, but are these things very loud? I notice when its cold standing next to it it is very loud. in the cab, not so much. It runs perfect no smoke or power loss is this normal?

    noisy IDI

    I just started my truck cold and it seems noisy and very clanky. This is my first diesel, is this normal? It does not smaoke at all and has good oil pressure it has a K&N filter and a 4" dynomax exhaust. Seems to get qiueter as it warms up. Again this is my first diesel just curious thanks
