6.9 Diesel runs good at idle and range up until about 2400 rpms
I have a 1987 F-250 with a 6.9 diesel and here lately if you run up the rpms on it, it sounds to have a miss, and runs really rough at higher end rpms so you cant wind it up all the way. IF anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them. Thanks!!- Ford Guy

1987 6.9 diesel stalls after start and is then hard to start
I have a 1987 6.9 diesel, that if you leave sitting over night when you go to start it, it cranks and fires, and feels like it starts but after a few seconds of running stalls and dies, and then it is extremely hard to start. I am sure it is air in the lines somewhere but what i need help with...- Ford Guy

Gas to Diesel Swap
Ok, so i have been wanting to mate a zf-5spd with my 6.9 so i can get a little more speed and power to the wheels of my 6.9 diesel which is an 87, i was thinking today what if i were to buy a cheaper like 90's gas pickup, F-250 or 350 that has a zf-5spd in it, and put my 6.9 diesel in it in...- Ford Guy

6.9 Diesel Glow plug issue
I have a 1987 F-250 with a 6.9 Diesel, and the glow plugs cycle, but they only run one cycle, as in they only click once, you have to turn the key on and off to get them to recycle, as they should on their own, and the wait to start light also isnt working. Im thinking that the actual...- Ford Guy

Leaky Fuel System
