    Just out of curiosity, do either one of you happen to know what the towing capacity is for a mid 80's 6.9? I've tried to find it but can't. And I agree, that trailer loaded would be a bit much for that truck, especially trying to get it to stop in a hurry.

    One of the pre-cups came loose from the head and damaged the deck of the block, put about a quarter of an inch, half moon impression in it.     I'm looking for a 6.9 block but would certainly consider it in short block or long block form. Any idea how many miles were on it? Mine dropped a precup at 186k and damaged the top of the block of the block. I'm just outside of Knoxville, TN. so shipping might be an issue.
