My sister in laws 04 duramax has been setting a p0087 and surging at idle. She describes it as sitting at a stoplight and it tries to take off on her. She had someone tell her it was the FPR, but I am seeing people talking about fuel lines colapsing, bad injectors, and an occaisional FPR. I am a...

    Coil springs

I have worked for a couple alignment shops that had the equipment to bend the I beams to adjust the camber. Might be hard to find a shop thT has the equipment and someone that knows how to use it but maybe a tire and alignment shop that has been around a long time could do it.

    starter needed, which type?

I put one of those on in November, it worked fine at first, but now when hot it sometimes just clicks when I try to crank it. Usually starts on the second or third time, a couple times it took 6-8 tries. I haven't inquired about getting it warrantied yet.

    LIFT PUMP BLOCK OFF PLATE

Edit: I tried to quote Gary's post about using the gasket as a template before my post. That's what I did, but I didn't want to use a paper gasket as I trust ultra black more. I went to autozone and asked them to see a lift pump for my idi, took the gasket out and made a tracing of it to make...

Separate Brake and Turn Signal Lights

I'd want to study the wiring diagram to be sure, but you should just be able to come straight off the brake light switch to those lights, then use the factory wiring to go to the turn signals.

I'm a little late to the party, but you could have just removed the pto cover to drain the trans.

    Schrader valve alternatives

Doesn't it suck air in when you hold the Schraeder valve open without cranking the engine? If I'm right on that youd get air in it when you stop cranking and walk around the truck to close your bleeder

    Swapping motors. Any tips?

I usually just let the air out of the tires. Makes a huge difference.

    Swapping motors. Any tips?

I'd replace the orings in the oil cooler while the engine is out. When I did mine I removed the hood and rad, but not the core support. Remove the oil filter before you try to pull it.
