    Problem with Leaky (84 IDI)

The wire that you reattached at the starter was it melted in any kind of a way or did it appear to have just broken off ? Do you have a multimeter to check the voltage of the batteries and the fender mounted starter solenoid?

    Problem with Leaky (84 IDI)

Have you checked the voltage at the batteries and do you know if your alternator is producing a charge or not. If both of these two are fine, then I would suspect that your ignition switch on the steering column is bad or out of adjustment. Two other items to check would be the passenger...

    Atten. Mugwamps. J33300 on Ebay..

Icanfixall, appreciate the quick response. The information you shared was very informative, which raised some red flags with one of the two I have been watching on eBay. I don't know if you have looked lately at the two additional ones. Wish I could figure out how to post the ad on here to make...

    Atten. Mugwamps. J33300 on Ebay..

I've noticed that two more meters have came up for sale on ebay. Question is there a difference between the J-33300 and the J-33300-A. I noticed that the two that are on there now, have been listed to time the Chevy 6.2 and 6.5. My understanding, correct me if I'm wrong, that they should be able...

    Fan clutch removal help?

It is left handed threads, so to take it off you will need to turn towards the drivers fender. I've found using a large monkey wrench and a hammer tapping it two or three times will usually break it free.

093 up pipe leak? Possible Manifold swap?

In post #7, you stated "donut". Are you referring to a exhaust gasket called a "donut" or the formed metal of the exhaust manifold. My thought is that no gasket is supposed to be there, someone correct me if I'm wrong. If there is a "donut" gasket between the manifold and the up pipe, this...

    I NEED HELP!

Maybe a stupid question, but have you unbolted the up pipe from the hot side of the turbo and also taken the oil feed line off. Also take the bolt out of the intake hat, it will free up some working room also. Once you have the oil feed line, the intake hat unbolted and the up pipe unbolted...

    OEM vs. aftermarket throttle cable

Which ever one you try, just make sure it is the same length and attachment points are correct. Ask me how I know. I tried one from Auto Zone and Napa. Both being to long and caused the cable to not retract. Apparently there were several different cables made for our trucks, the one that stands...

Where to add coolant temp gauge sender?

The location that I used was on the driver's side about halfway. There will be a plug installed on the driver's side head that is in the same place as the passenger side head that has the heater hose coming off of (the heads are a mirror image of each other). Take the plug out and add your...

    More brake troubles

On the vacuum line tree located under the hood; passenger side, firewall; there should be a open outlet with a rubber plug covering that outlet. Get any vacuum/ boost gauge from your local parts store, plumb it in to that open outlet. After plumbing in, crank your truck an allow it to build...

    manual trans fluid

The release point on mine also is about an inch off of the floor also and I couldn't be more happier with the conversion compared to the bouncing of the truck when letting off the clutch in first or reverse with the old DWF.

    manual trans fluid

Rollover, as I have understood is the slapping or vibration of the motor and transmission being mated to together, which starts with the motor and works it way through the drive train, once the vehicle increases sped it usually fades away. Addidng an additional quart of fluid helps queiten the...

    manual trans fluid

Question? It would help to know what transmission you have. I just completed a SMF conversion in my '91 F-350 with the LUK conversion kit, while also changing the fluid and went back with the Lucas Semi Syn. ATF that can be had at most auto parts stores, runs about $7.99 a quart. If you have...
