Whats everyone getting for mpg's? modded and stock, im just looking for comparisons. I took my moms 03 jetta to colorado last weekend and averaged 38.9 driving normal and 37.x driving hard across western ks and east co.- lukecline

Anyone had experience with having injectors EDM or honed?
EDM is where they electrically enlarge the nozzle (not sure of the specifics). EH is where they force a fine abrasive paste through the holes to enlarge them. From my experience EDM make more power with less smoke than a similar flowing EH nozzle. I started out with .0085" EH nozzles on...- lukecline

Aftermarket Intercooler?
you can get a really nice intercooler from diperformance.com. It is one badazz mofo, works quite a bit better than the stock 6oh ic did. So far towing ive never seen my temps above 1250 with the cruise set rollin 80 mph. Now accelerating into the wind uphilll, etc... yes theyve been a lil...- lukecline

i would say 3.5" downpipe is plenty unless your going all out hp. Also ditch the edge and get a flip chip from Tony Wildman @ www.totaldieselperformance.com he makes some killer programs for 7.3's. Luke- lukecline

What tranny to get
weve had terrible luck with our at545 behind a 175 hp t444e. I hardly believe that it would hold up to even a mild injectored psd. Tim you might get ahold of richter69 he builds a stout unit.- lukecline

need advice for more power on 99 7.3
It sounds like your heading in the right direction as far as intake and exhaust. I would suggest getting a pyrometer, boost gauge and tranny temp if yours is an auto. Call Tony Wildman for a chip, he does a great job tuning these rigs 405-818-6365. Luke- lukecline

how much have you hauled....
ive grossed 28500 with my 3/4 ton. I was pulling a 24' gn trailer loaded with building steel, the longest pieces were 36' long. Yep the DOT in nebraska loved me! I told them i was a farmer and they let me go :rotflmao ! If they wouldve figured out i was commercial then it wouldve been fine...- lukecline
