    It would be a lot of trouble to swap parts between the engines. Can you get the numbers off the pumps of each engine? The PES6P number.

    The 8.3 for $4500 is well worth it, even at 210hp. They can make 450hp for cheaper than the 466 or 466E. Pump mods, injectors, and turbo. Now, for the 466E....To make any decent power from it, convert it to mechanical. You'd need a donor 408, 466, 530 NGD(93-97) to pull the head with injectors...

    Because it's like a Chevy 350. After a while it gets boring seeing one swapped in to a pickup. Plus, the DT360 is a better built engine. It just didnt get the P-pump it sooo needed.

    Lots of turbo options. 3Lm, GT37, GT40, GT42, Holset HX40, HX50, just to name a couple. There are things you can do to the pump for free to pep it up a little. For more than the 20-40hp that gives, try a set of injectors and a turbo. Your pump is likely an MW pump, which is ok, but not the best...

    Even with a low stall converter, it's still going to feel like the engine is connected to a rubber band. Add to that, a 230hp rating, and you get a grenade.

    Yes. If you do a websearch for pipewhiner on many diesel forums, he has a few made. It's the trans adapter, and flywheel to mate to a ZF. Another idea, you could get a pretty nice 10 speed for that price.

    Smokin deal. Hard to be a price like that. It looks like the pre-93 hood on it. If it really is a 94, then yes, it would probably be a Cummins 5.9. Of course, there's a slight chance of it being a Cummins 8.3 too.
