When I bought Benny a week ago he had nothing more than the turbo down pipe for an exhaust system. Not real pleasant to drive. I got the parts together and put together a ‘custom’ system. Sounds great and is much more pleasant to drive. It sounds like a big rig, throaty with some whistle but...
Happy Memorial Day Everyone!
Well after having my 6.0 stolen about a month ago I bought another IDI yesterday. I needed something and after searching found this 1993 F-250 abut 3-1/2 hours away. Definitely a truck someone loved and put a lot into at some point (R&D Diesel goodies), but has...
Happy Monday Gang,
I sit here having stayed home with the flu. However that isn't my true torment right now. An old friend of mine has offered me a good deal on his 2006 F-250 King Ranch 4x4 6.0. It is all stock with 170,000mi. Well taken care of, first owner being a Ford service manager...

Happy New Year Everyone!
My truck has the old school non-wastegate Banks turbo. At some point I would love to swap to a ZF5. I understand that the Banks Kits were specific to either an automatic or manual transmission, but I haven't been able to find out what the difference is. Can anyone...
Happy hump day all,
Are any of the cheap testers on EBay any good? I'd like to go through my small collection of injectors.

Good morning OB,
Any reason the below wouldn't work on my truck?
https://www.cfrperformance.com/FORD_C6_FLEXIBLE_TRANSMISSION_DIPSTICK_FIREWALL_p/cfr-3001.htm
I have had trouble with it leaking at the dipstick to transmission and with the turbo kit it can't bolt down up top like stock.

Good morning Gentlemen,
Is this port that is plugged on the back of my motor an oil port?
Could it be used for an oil pressure gauge?

Just came across this in Facebook market place. Needs a motor.
Check out what I found on Facebook Marketplace.

One more new trick that Lil started on my weekend trip. Turn the key off and she keeps idling for three full seconds then shuts down. The ignition switch is new, put in about a month ago. What else would cause this?

I am suddenly in the market to replace my not so old mechanical unit.
I would appreciate some opinions as to the pros and cons to using an original style mechanical pump verses using an after market electric type. Cost difference? Reliability comparison? Performance difference? Cost?
If...
Took the old girl on an overnight trip from Federal Way to Goldendale for a Sunday dirt bike race. About 200 miles each way. Truck was loaded down as shown in the picture below. Seemed to be running great. Slow up the passes, but not bad. I started to doubt my water temperature gauge that I...
I have not had the accessory position functional in my truck. Last week when my truck starter engaged an began turning over the engine before the key position even engaged the glow plugs I decided it was time to get the ignition switch down the column replaced. I also have had a random loss of...
Good morning Gentlemen,
I seem to remember that the early Banks turbo kits were different for the automatic and manual transmission. What is the difference? The y-pipe is the only thing that seems likely. :dunno
So I'm waiting for my kids to finish up at the dentist and cruising OfferUp. This seems like a good deal to me! Thought I would share in case anyone is interested.

Well this is a new one on me. Anyone else ever have a return line cap blow out the side?
What would have caused this? Plugged injector?

Good afternoon all,
Today I pulled the CDR tube and adapter off the old F-250 and found the tube plugged up with gelatinous oil.
This would explain the old girl puking Oil like she was the last time I ran her. Too much crankcase pressure with no where to go. What would cause this?
My CDR...
Well after way too long being a garage queen 'Lil' the F-350 has emerged from hiding and taken a few successful around town trips. The new head gaskets seem to be holding and the rest of the truck seems to be solid enough that I started on the turbo swap this weekend. I got everything from...
Hello Gents,
I know the stock gauges aren't very good, but what would explain the following? After fully warming the truck up the oil pressure needle just drops as soon as the accelerator is released. Even just barely pushing the accelerator the needle jumps back to normal.
Video here:
After way too long sitting in the garage and finally replacing the head gaskets the old girl runs! First start up below, seems to still be lots of air in the lines.
