Alot of time it is just the solenoid on top of the injectors and people get soaked for injecrors when for $60 you can replace a solenoid on top of the injector.
One thing to check is the oil level in HPOP res. if for some reason it is low it will not start. Also check the oil pressure gauge while cranking, if you are not seeing pressure it will not not start. If no pressure on gauge look into replacing the LPOP, easy job, new Mellings pump about $90 and...
The reason the bearing fails is using the steering wheel to pull yourself in. It's a pain to rebuild as the shaft get all wore and a bearing will not ride right any more if you try to put a new bearing in. When My old 87 went I just replaced it.
So the main leaf broke, the one with the eye, and the axle has slid back. I would get a come-a-long and pull the axle back in place and put a ratchet strap or better yet a 1/4" chain and small spnap binder on it to hold the axle in place and you are good to go just take it easy. Or just leave...
My sons 92 F350 7.3 IDI needs a block heater cord. Not sure what cord it uses so if anyone has a spare cord I sure could use it or give me a part number.
Thanks, Jim
I also had a great time and renewing old friendships. Good to know that even if ya don't have a IDI anymore you are still welcome in the group.
Thanks Travis.
I thought we were suppose to support people with projects instead of discouraging them, I was on another site where if you didn't belong to a elite group you were either snubbed or chastised for your question.
There was one post that really got to me, a new guy had a older power-stroke and...

Travis, theres a good chance I will be there BUT just depends if I have the money as I am on unempolyment right now and they just cut it by $100 a month.
Jim
Nick, My handle is OK, just need the rods for drivers door and both locks and ign tumbler. Ya got a deal, Ya got a Pay-Pal account? I will PM you my address.
I'm home for now but look to be going back to work soon.
I know about the get together but I have not decided to go yet.
Jim
Nick, I need the rods for the drivers side but I could use both cylinders so both doors are the same.
Has it been that long WOW, baby is 5 now.
Yep still working pipeline but laid off right now, last year I worked in Ky, Ala and Wy.
Nick, That would be great, if you can find the rod and the cylinder I sure could use all. My cylinder on drivers door was destroyed and would be great if both doors would be the same. My tailgate lock don't work either BUT I don't care.
BTW
Hows the wife and baby, bet the baby has grown a bunch.
The pin on the front is just to center the wheel not really necessary as I have knocked them off the front and had no problem but on the rear they align the 2 wheels so you can air up the inside tire.
This is not an IDI but maybe I can get some help here as not many people are on the powerstroke board.
Here is the problem, my truck was a bank repo when I bought it. I guess when it was repoed they broke the door lock on the drivers side to get in and destroyed the lock and the rods inside...
