I installed a Taurus interior light when I could not find a replacement cover for the original light.
You will need to cut a little bit of the headliner so that it is not touching or too close to the left and right side lights.
Pic #1 - If I remember correctly, the post that is circled had to...
with the truck in good condition, it should be as dependable as a similar PSD.

3 year old thread?
Last year I replaced the head lights with a set of oem style lights. Nice to have clear lights again. Replaced the tail lights at the same time.
Has anyone purchased a torque converter from Precision of New Hampton, Inc?
The factory transmission has almost 200k with a lot of towing miles. While I have not encountered any problems other than replacing the front and rear seals, I am thinking it maybe time to start collecting the parts for...
I have a two stage system, 10 micron filter bag for stage one and 1 micron filter bag for stage two. The bags are 7" diameter x 16" long.

They also had a F550 (ex fire department) '@!%# cash for clunkers. The rear axle, springs and transmission were already gone, oh well.

Since you were towing, was the engine under boost most of the time?
That would raise the exhaust temp up and you could be getting a lot of heat off the exhaust manifold into the steering column. Check how close the steering column comes to the left exhaust manifold. There really should be heat...
I did a 3.5" exhaust on my truck with the tail piece from a used Banks exhaust to go over the axle. The issue I encountered was resonance at highway speed due to the diameter and the length of straight pipe under the cab and bed. I added a straight thru 8-1/2" x 30" muffler with centered 3.5"...
