    crazy idi

Lift blocks lead to some nasty axle wrap, yes that can be helped with ladder bars but if your that motivated why not just get a full springpack? They also suck off road, greatly limiting your flex and articulation. Ever seen a block pop out while on a trail?

    Digital Pyro

I agree. My digital one picks up temp changes much quicker than the analog one did.

    7.3 smoke

Some people seem to have the mentality that black smoke = power, those are the people I enjoy flying by without emitting a single puff.

    700hp IDI!

Definitely puts my mind at ease that the transmission has "rebuilt gears" in it as well.

    HE351VE Remote Mount Turbo

Out of curiosity are you going to have a line or pressure gauge in the cab for that? Or some sort of an alarm if the pressure drops.

I've always used the tubing that came with the autometer gauges and never had a problem with it.

G code remanned injectors - a different approach

When I had my 94 factory turbo "K" truck I decided it was time to replace injectors at 190k. I went with new BB codes from Russ that he had tested and matched. I immediately saw a 2mpg increase, with a noticeable increase in acceleration as well. The "G" code injectors were used for emissions...

Added 11 quarts, but dipstick says overfilled?

I would always fill mine right to the full mark when hot. Then over time it would push out what it didn't want and stay constant at halfway up the cross hatching.

    Coolant comsumption

The IH version of the 6.0, the VT365 has had less issues with coolers clogging up and causing other problems. They of course run a different coolant than the Ford Gold. The thoughts are that the gold coolant is largely to blame in the clogged coolers. Was that engineer referring to the...

    Coolant comsumption

I agree on the oil analysis. A report showing coolant in the oil is something that they can't claim is acceptable. But I would make sure one of their employees sees you collecting the sample or have them do it to ensure you aren't accused of falsifying the test.

    Coolant comsumption

Basically same problem as the 6.0PSD's. Oil Cooler gets clogged, Not enough coolant to EGR cooler, EGR cooler ruptures due to flash boiling of coolant and extreme heat, Coolant goes into intake via EGR valve, Creates excessive cyl. pressures and loses head gaskets, cracks head or etc. I'm...

    Drilling for a pyro

Agree on not using grease, but I would not drill it while it is running. If somehow a chip got into the manifold-which it could happen running- then its going straight for your turbo. Drill it engine off, use a strong magnet to pull any possible chips out and clean it again with a vacuum...
