    EGR assassination plans?

This is the best advice. My truck runs like crap with it unplugged - and my mileage goes way downhill - by 5mpg or more. Acceleration is poor and will blow white smoke on start up. The colder it is the more it sucks. So - unplug it and try it out first to make sure it's what he really...

    GP's

Are you running syn or dino oil? I found that mine starts easier with syn - i.e. one key cycle if I don't plug her in. Dino oil - she likes to have the double key cycle. Of course it's not as cold here as where you are - she will start no matter what - just don't get the early morning romps...

    Removing muffler on a 6.0L

I don't actually know of anyone who has removed it on a 6.0L. I'm sure that there would be a slight gain without the restriction though. How much - maybe not enough to really notice. Ron

    03/04 Harness Recall -

I had three recalls total. 04B24 was for the tranny. 05S34 was for the wire harness along with the ICP connector. 05E15 was for the EP and connector with software update. I had all three done at the same time. Previously I had the EGR, EBP and some other sensor replaced. Didn't really...

    03/04 Harness Recall -

If you have any surging, stalling, missing, seems low on power, etc etc – and you have not done the recall for the wiring harness . . . you need to get her in and have it done. I just finally got around to having mine done. I had the surging/missing deal and figured out that if I reached in...

    Remote - Door Lock/Unlock

On my 2001 - you could be half a mile away it seemed and the thing would work. On my 2004 - you damn near have to be standing right next to it. I have changed batteries in the key fob deal - different brand of batteries - don't know what to do next. Anybody know how these work? As in...

    Need Help

Not sure how it works up there for you guys - but here I wouldn't get a lawyer. I'd find/research to find the speed limiter setting and just present that to the traffic court judge *after* the cop presented his case. I'm sure that one of the sponsors (those who deal with...

    Need Help

That would be what - 124 mph (I think) - so no - speed limiter for one I think kicks in around 98 mph. Not postive though. Ron

How long till she's broke in

It's smart to always get them broke in before adding to them. That's why I waited 27 miles before I started adding my upgrades. At 48+ K I'd think she would be broke in enough for you to add that tuner. Ron

    CB's

My current CB is the Galaxy DX 979 - and I think it's the best I have ever owned. In addition it has what they call the Starlite backplate on it - glows blue at night so it's very easy to read. Topped it off with a Wilson 3 foot antenna. Excellent range. Ron

    Question? (new to Diesels)

When I say rarely - I mean 3 or 4 times since I have had the truck. Couple of times towing, let's say, a little on the heavy side and hitting real steep inclines. Another time was during a beta test of a chip. Put mine on at 36 miles :D just long enough to get home from the dealer. And...

    Question? (new to Diesels)

No problem Dan - we all had the same questions at one point or another. Best thing to do is simply read as much as you can. Maybe try to find a Power Stroke or Diesel club in your area - then you will be around folks that have the same interest and would be a great source of info. Don't know...

    Question? (new to Diesels)

I'm going to say that your in the "normal" range. Larger exhaust will help lower that somewhat - but if you can manage it I wouldn't worry about the extra expense of an exhaust. Ron
