Hey guys, is it better to vent from the oil filler neck or the back of the valley pan where the CDR is attached. Any difference?

How do you guys deal with the clutch slave cylinder?

I was able to easily push it back in and then install back onto the bellhousing...maybe it was too easy... anything I should be concerned about?

    Clutch issues....

I know this is an old thread, but... Had really high clutch pedal effort and it was getting to the point of doing something about it. Pulled the slave cylinder, removed the fork and greased the throw out bearing shaft and pivot point. WOW, my clutch effort is like a Honda Civic now. This is...

    6.5 turbo on an IDI?

Would need to have a compressor map to see where it would fall, but I would hegde a bet that it would work fine on a 6.9. Displacement and RPM between the two are very close. The GM-8 I had in my 'built' 6.5 would spin to 18 real fast. Granted, you are not going to make 30 with this turbo, but...

1991 Dually with only 6,000 miles!

Yup. What Mel said. You could be cruising in STYLE for under 20 large. For a NEW truck. Nice!

    Ground Problem? Advise please...

Mine isnt loose to the touch either...but I imagine it wouldn't take much. I would have to think the relay fires the fronts and rears at the same time, hmmmm.

    Ground Problem? Advise please...

I have the same issue, left front blinker. Pushing the signal stem 'forward' seems to engage the front flasher and dash indicator, so Im guessing the culpril lies in the steering colum switch...

    IDI idea

Prior to owning a Ford IDI, I had a few 6.5 turbo chevs, and had a lot of fun with them. For your project, I would stick to a 6.2 or 6.5T. Lots of snot for a 1/2 tonne short box that probably wont see a lot of heavy towing miles. That being said, a Ford drive train in a chev skin would always...

    Something unplugged on IP

OK, new to me truck (runs great, really impressed with it) has one of the solonoids on the IP unplugged...it is the one closest to the air filter. I am thinking it is the cold start advance. Any reason for this to be unplugged? Thanks all

    Fuel tank questions

Im thinking that sounds hard to replace. My speedo 'bounces' all over the place, and if it does settle, its about 40% low. Probably not a sticky cable, eh?

    Fuel tank questions

thanks for that. 19 and 18. got it. I would love to run her till she surges, but my luck it would only surge once and she'd be dry. I should probably look and getting my speedo issue sorted...

    Fuel tank questions

:eek:Hi all. Hoping to find the capacities of my fuel tanks, as the gauge does not work. For that matter my odometer has issues too... Searched through some threads, and there seems to be some variance. Is there any way to know for sure short of filling them up and measuring while draining?:eek...
