I haven't been around in a while, but I'm hoping to tear into my truck this year and get my M101 trailer bed on. With my bed off I'm going to be redoing all the fuel system. My rear tank has rust in it, so I've got new MTS tanks poly tanks. Also, the pickup was broken on both so I'm going to...
My daily driver needs repaired so I've been driving my truck quite a bit. I noticed about a month ago that if I applied a little gas off idle it would start making a vibrating noise. It has gotten worse so that now sitting at idle there is a low frequency vibration and noise and it is just...
I second the shower head issue. When I drove my truck back from Texas (560 mi) it died on the highway an hour from home with 1/4 tank left. We were so close. I decided to switch tanks and crank away. Eventually it came back to life. So keep the fuel topped up.
To aid in priming the fuel...
I agree with snicklas the part is called an ignition actuator and you can get it at the local auto parts store for under $15. Not worth pulling a used one that may already be stressed.
I replaced mine last winter and separated the two pieces by using a long punch and knocking out the pins from...
And now for something completely different.

I have for sale a military surplus MEP-701A diesel generator. These are rated for 3kW continuous duty (24/7) by the military, and I've heard they can go up much...
You might double check that it isn't leaking from the connector on top of the filter and just dribbling down the sides. This is the fuel heater and is a known leak point. If it is really coming from between the filter and filter head, when you replace the filter check the filter head sealing...
Bummer to read about the bad luck with your setup. The idea is intriguing and maybe with the extra crossmember all would be well.
When you remove the tailhousing on the tcase you lose the flange oil seal. Did you build a seal into your adapter? Did you seal the adapter to the cases?
Did the...
The motors with the external two pin connector (not with the bolts going through the side plate) seem to not be grounded through the case. I had to put 12V on one pin and ground on the other for the motor to do anything.
Turns out the box I just got was an underdrive even though I explicitly told the person how to turn the shafts and identify them.
Any idea on how much the underdrive boxes are typically worth? The box itself looks to be in good condition. Trying figure out what to do.
I've already got all the parts for any of the options. I got the US gear for c6 4x4 pretty cheap on Friday. Figured they don't come up that often and I could always use it for parts. Although it could also show up and be completely trashed.
I've honestly not heard many complaints about the...
I just picked up another US Gear dual range box for a c6 with 4x4. So now I have a few options for this project. Here's the breakdown.
Option #1:
C6 --> BW1356 (flanged) --> new stub shaft --> US Gear --> new rear driveshaft
The US Gear would replace the carrier bearing in this setup...
