    FUEL/AIR Leak....I'm Going Crazy

Bringing this back, just purchased the pump Type4 recommended, might get to wiring it this weekend. Any more suggestions? I'm probably going to tape into and extra spot on my fuse panel for 12v power and may use the 12v on the IP for control power to the relay, or maybe fine another 12v keyed...

    FUEL/AIR Leak....I'm Going Crazy

My international truck does not have a fuel heater or fuel/water separator. Only has pre and post lift pump fuel filters.

    FUEL/AIR Leak....I'm Going Crazy

Thanks for the info. On the statement above I'm definitely going to do the fuse, but I really have no need for the toggle, as long as the pump runs with the key on that's what I need.

    FUEL/AIR Leak....I'm Going Crazy

That's really the most logical way to do it, and that's exactly what i did

    FUEL/AIR Leak....I'm Going Crazy

The Mr. Gasket pump that i looked up was specific for diesel, I'll look up the other ones your mentioned as well.

    FUEL/AIR Leak....I'm Going Crazy

That's usually my philosophy, but I'm at my wits end. My problem is more during the winter when my truck sits for months at a time before use, usually i don't even us it in the winter other than to start it a few times and run it. Often times my batteries will be dead by the time it bleeds the...

    FUEL/AIR Leak....I'm Going Crazy

I think i may just ditch the mechanical pump all together and go completely electric.

    FUEL/AIR Leak....I'm Going Crazy

You must be talking about the brass three way fitting that collects the passenger side return line to the driver side return lines then feeds back to the tank, correct? If it means anything, when i had the clear lines on to troubleshoot, when i shut the truck off, that line would remain about...

    FUEL/AIR Leak....I'm Going Crazy

That's exactly what I did the first time around when I trouble shooted. Install all clear lines in place of the return lines and observed what i thought was one injector leaking down, I then decided to order a complete set of injectors from Type4, when i pull the old ones, the one i thought was...

    FUEL/AIR Leak....I'm Going Crazy

Thank for the info fellas. The only reason that I still think my leak is on my return side is because I installed a clear line on the outlet of the filter to watch for air. I observed an air bubble come from the driver side return lines/caps and make it way up to the filter. But new return...

    FUEL/AIR Leak....I'm Going Crazy

I check the all the fittings on the filter and even added a little teflon tape to the threads, also checked the rubber doughnut on the fitting at the filter head, but not the other end of that line on the IP. How is you're electric pump plumbed??

    FUEL/AIR Leak....I'm Going Crazy

I've been diligently trying to track down a fuel air leak on my truck, it does the typical start, stall then long crank needed to start. I've done the following: -Installed all new Caps, Return Line, o-ring and it didn't solve the problem -Installed all clear tubing on the return lines to...

Pump Turn Up, then back down.

Remember..my truck is completely different from all yours...if I do a pyro I'll probably have to drill a hole in my dash in a flat spot, or find another spot for it. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say no one makes a pillar gauge pod for a 4600 dump.

Where does everyone install an EGT sensor on an NA, left or right side exhaust manifold?

    motor "set" in....

You're using a Dana 44 in the front right? I actually had a Scout 80 pickup given to me that I might to a project like this some day. It has the little 4 banger in it, and I'm not sure what is has for a front axle. I would think that if I added a 6.9/7.3 to the truck with a 4 banger it...

    New Injector Prices

Don't know if the injection pump is in the budget right now, plus i only will probably use this truck 10 times a year, I'm getting tired of my starting issue and if the injectors solve it than great. I don't care so much about the starting issue in the summer but in the winter when I have to...

    New Injector Prices

Just looked through the member section and realized that myself...oops. No Idea how old the fuel system is on the truck, I have no maintenance records for the truck, I picked it up with 292k on it. It runs great, I just have what I believe is an injector leak down issue, so I say screw it, I...

    New Injector Prices

Thanks for the tip, guess I'm not going to buy from Diesel Care. Typ4 is a vendor? who can I contact on these. As far as the Moose injectors, I'm not looking for high performance injectors, just some good replacement for my NA motor, how would these play into my application.

    New Injector Prices

I'm shopping for injectors, the best price i've found on NA injectors is here http://www.dieselcare.net/FORDPRODUCTS.html But I'm not sure if they are new or rebuilt. Any recommendation on where to buy injectors?

    Leaky injector or Air instusion

Just go to any hardware store and get 1/4in clear tubing in a roll, the clamps may be bigger than the tubing so you can't reuse them, but the clear lines will stay on so that you can troubleshoot, I'm in the process of trouble shoot an issue too.

Can't Seem to Find Air Leak

I think i might just get a set of 8, I have no idea when they were last changed out, truck has 292k on it. She does smoke real good for awhile on start up, more than you would expect and even a little when running. Whats the torque spec on the injectors, for when i go to reinstall one if i...

Can't Seem to Find Air Leak

Good thought, it'll put a wrench on the fittings. But i think it's an injector. Mainly because I watched the line out of the tee fitting (my second picture I posted) drain itself back toward the injectors. That tells me that fuel is leaking/draining down in an injector. Plus the return...

Can't Seem to Find Air Leak

Drain bowl? Not sure where that is, this truck is set up a little different than a Ford because it's an international truck. I replace both filters today, they are good and snug, not worried about them being the issue. But after about an hour of watching the clear lines this is what I found...

Can't Seem to Find Air Leak

Alright did some more troubleshooting today and have some questions. I installed all clear tubing on all the return lines as you can see below. After I installed the tubing I fired the truck and let it run for awhile until all the lines were purged of air bubbles. I shut the truck off...
