    86 F250 4X4 Xcab Longbed weighed in at 7260 leaving the dump with my wife (105) and me (235) in it. I had about 1/2 a tank of fuel, and I do have a cut down wood decked Knapheide flatbed with a gooseneck hitch.

    Yep, it was set to max AC and I tried regular also. Might be time for me to buy a shop manual and some more tools, or borrow some. My clutch is doing nothing at all. I tried to run a jumper from the postive post to the clutch and got no reaction.

    I tried the paper clip idea, compressor didn't come on at all. I believe there is pressure in the system, and I checked closer - my accumulator says it's R134A and R12 compatible, but on the switch receptacle for the little plug it says R12. And all my fittings look to be R12 fittings. I think...

    Checked my lines, can't see any signs of a leak, no oil, moisture, nothing. I also checked the plug on top of the compressor and it appears to be in tight. So I might try a recharge and see what happens - I don't have access to gauges to check and see if the pressure is holding. In cooler...

    Post Pics Of Your IDI

    Here's mine - 86 F250 4WD 6.9 with a flatbed. Just got it today, 161K - does not smoke at all, doesn't leak any oil, real strong runner for an old truck. Feels heavy though, might be cause my last diesel was a 24v Cummins.
