    I'd bet it's the CPS. When it goes out, the injectors don't fire, giving the appearance of no fuel.

    As far as I've seen, any blockage in the trans would have killed it. The reason for the color change is that as the new fluid is pushing out the old, there is some mixing going on. That will cause dark old fluid to lighten as it's being flushed out.

    Im in ola, had it towed to my uncles place. Hoping the weather is less hostile and the head bolts more cooperative tomorrow, I still don't have those off. yes im sure the rad hose blew off last. I had already started pulling off the road when it died on the shoulder and blew the hose.

    Its an 89 f350 7.3. The rad hose was off the rad at the bottom. I was able to just clamp it back on and refill it, but it would not start. Didn't hear any metal sounds, but. Cranking it sounds really different, just a sick coughing weak sound. Towing it now and will be digging into it later...

    i'm crunching numbers right now trying to get a sense of what things like bumpers and fuel tanks, and rear ends would go for. should have mentioned 2wheel drive 7.3, just short of 200k miles. not sure of what else to mention.

    89 f350 cc srw c6. the ip,lines,& injectors were all replaced about 3k miles ago along with radiator, added a holley red. fan clutch died a month back, along with the AC. the body is rusty as hell, the c6 also started acting funny even after tweaking the vrv its hard going in 2nd.:dunno not...
