    Potential but or money pit

I would much rather deal with an engine problem than body work. The 6.0 when deleted, studded, and moderately tuned is phenomenal. And as others have said, if you do an engine swap to a DT360 then you'll have about the best you can get. Personally I would have stayed away because it doesn't have...

    Fast idle solenoid

Just delete the fast idle. They adjust the regular idle to be about 1000rpm when cold and call it done.

    P0672, P2290, and battery light?

So it seems to be my batteries right now. Had them tested and it said good, but needs charged. So its one or both of them. And they are old as it is. So gonna start there. Is it possible to do a 1 battery conversion on these trucks?

    P0672, P2290, and battery light?

Is the ICP sensor a normal failing part? I seen where someone said the old ones were terrible but the new style is much better.

    Best boost hoses and couplers?

Got an entire kit that includes the hoses, couplers, clamps and intake for $169 at DK Engines.

    Best boost hoses and couplers?

My cold side clamp on the hose side decided it no longer wanted to work. I tightened it 2x and both times it failed. So I am going to upgrade at a min that connection. What coupler and clamps do y'all recommend? Is it best to just get the AFE piping which comes with their hose and clamps?

    6.0 restoration

That's a lot of work, but it looks great. I'm sure it'll be used a lot.

    Tire size?

I searched but could not find anything relating to tire size itself. 88' F250 4x4 regular cab C6. Currently running 285-75/16, which is equal to 33"s. My front bumper is not factory, so lots of clearance there. What size tires can I run? Are 37"s possible? What about turning radius with larger...

    Single battery mod

OK. So it wont fit in the battery location I am guessing. Or would the battery tray need modded to be stronger?

    Single battery mod

How do you move to a single though? Do you just remove the wiring for the 2nd one?

    Single battery mod

How do you do it, and is it worth it? I live in NC, so cold temps are not a big deal, and the truck starts fairly easy.

Gas to Diesel Conversion on 95 Chevy Cheyenne

6.7? Check the usual things such as fuel flow, compression, timing (as much as you can), grounds, battery charge, etc. Try hitting it with a dab of ether. Did the engine come with an Allison trans? Because I am not aware of any Chevy 1500, 2500, or 3500 that came with an Allison at that time...

    Moving to Chevy

After an encounter with a snobbish Ford rep I have decided to move to GM for my next truck. It wont be for another year, next tax season specifically. But I am going to either get a 6.5T or a Duramax. It will have to be 4x4, quad cab, 8ft bed. I would love to get a manual, but those are...

    Next truck

That would be pretty interesting. All the gauges would have to be mechanical.

    Next truck

My budget is I'm guessing about $12K. Finding a gasser and putting an IDI into probably not the best idea. It wouldn't be right to have an IDI in say a 2000 F250. The swap rules are pretty loose.

    Next truck

That is an option along with a quad cab PSD. I don't know if Chevy had anything to compete at the time <1997.

    Next truck

So I'm hopefully looking for another truck after taxes come back. And normally I'm a Ford person (currently 88' F250 4x4 7.3IDI auto) But am open to other brands. I know there are lots of prou and cons to each. But I need a 4x4 diesel 4-door. I would prefer an 8 foot bed. And a stick would be a...

    Braided stainless steel brake lines?

Does anyone make them for an 88 F250? The shop was finally able to look into the brake problem. And like someone else said it was the line collapsing after they get warmed up. So I am going to have the lines replaced. And I might as well make them the best lines.

The fluid is perfect. I bled the whole system and put in perfect DOT-3 fluid less a year ago. The front lines are all new, so that eliminates that. Master cylinder is only a few years old as well. As for the leaking it was not the last time it was rebuilt. And hydroboost wouldn't do me any good...
