    micron rating?

12psi ? Hmmmmm, wonder what kind of "vacuum" they can handle ? I'd prefer to have the pump on the receiving end, not the crud end. ;Sweet

    My WMO Setup, Pics

I'm presuming that you need some air in your line before you actually get the oil to the centrifuge (to cause the centrifuge to spin-up) before the oil hits it, otherwise the first few seconds of oil will not be filtered because the centrifuge was standing still when it flowed through (?)...

    My WMO Setup, Pics

I understand not sucking from the bottom of the barrel, however, sooner or later it's going to build up (without you seeing the level). Any recommendations for "water separation" filtering? What about "Glycol", any way to separate that, if you get a batch of WMO or WTF with "radiator coolant" in...

Replumb my OEM FF to vacuum side or not?

I was looking at filter assemblies at HomeDepot the other day, similar to the filters (?) I saw one of you had shown pics of. I was having problems determining what the micron level of filtering was on the various cartridges. Only one brand stated 1micron, all the others weren't listing it...

Gasser tranny hold up behind Cummins?

Go to 4BTSWAPS.com and look around for tranny recommendations for your engine. They also cover the tranny buildups. This forum is initially for Cummins 4BT & 6BT engine swaps, but they also have other engine swaps they follow. http://www.4btswaps.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=22...

    Puttin Atf in with diesel

I'm sure the smell of it will change their mind, quickly. :rotflmao Come to think of it, WTF wouldn't be red, would it ? :dunno Most of the users of WTF will mix it with #2 in an 80/20 ratio (80% wtf/20% #2). The #2 provides the needed "lubrication" for the pump, etc. 'course, adding WMO to...

    oil in the intercooler???

Oil getting into your "intake" via turbo seal, or any other leak, is the #1 cause of "runaway". You "DON'T" want your diesel to "runaway" :bail Unless you have a big box to sweep it into, afterwards. :rotflmao

    Puttin Atf in with diesel

There's a thread under the alternate fuels section on this forum where WTF (Waste Tranny Fluid) is used "instead" of #2 by as much as 80%. You can burn WTF as well as WMO (waste motor oil), as long as you filter it down to 1micron before using it. ;Sweet If you're desperate, you can go into...

Replumb my OEM FF to vacuum side or not?

Well stated. If you have your pump at the beginning, expect to replace the pump after awhile. :backoff The more you filter it, the less your "on-board" filter has to filter (the longer your on-board filter will last), and the less chance of being on the road when you have to change that...

    My WMO Setup, Pics

You're forgetting that your IP should have an adjustment for "smoke", otherwise, just back off the amount of fuel you're over using. :rotflmao

    NOS

If you're running a "GASSER", you use NOS, for a DIESEL, you use PROPANE, not NOS .... ;Sweet

    micron rating?

The "so called soft" comes from the "SALT solution" that is used to back-flush the filter. I don't think you want "soft" fuel. :rotflmao

lookin for some VW Rabbit Diesels

I'm also looking for a TDI, however, I need one that will fit within a 22" space (length), width and height are not a problem, just have limited space front to back (pulley to flywheel). Hoping for somewhere around 120 - 150 HP, if possible. Any suggestions ? Thanks

Mixing diesel and WMO, or just dump into tank?

I'm sure it DOES Fire up easier in the morning. ;Sweet My only thought is; Does it lubricate well enough by it's self, or do you need to mix it with WMO? Wouldn't want to cause damage to the IP, injectors, or cylinders. Side question; How do you separate WMO/WTF, from Glycol/coolant that's...

M-B IDI Diesel Engines - what was available through the years

Warden, Great info. I'm looking for an MB engine for a swap, however, I need physical specs on the engines. I have "ONLY" 22" to fit the engine into, front (pulley) to back (flywheel). I'd prefer a turbo'd engine, but again, don't know which would meet my limited space. Around 120HP, or more...

Mixing diesel and WMO, or just dump into tank?

Over on the 4BTSWAPS.com Forum (Cummins DI Engines ;Sweet), they run no more than 30% WMO, or they start getting lots of smoke. :rotflmao I've always thought it may also be the IP settings that are their limits. :dunno They've recommended filtering down to at least 5micron, though some...
