These engines stop in FOUR specific places. Cylinders 1 & 4 2 & 5 7 & 6 3 & 8 any pair goes to TDC when you shut down, that's why the engine stops so abruptly, there is a tremendous load on the two rods of the two cylinders that stop on TDC, they have to stop the rotation of the crank...

    Money Pit #2 Won't run.

Don't pull the injectors out just for a compression test, just pull the glow plugs out so it spins fast. I would get a couple cans of SeaFoam and pour a little down each GP hole, let sit a couple of days, then see what the compression is.

how to go on with my E4OD

Unless you drained the torque converter, the trans body only takes 8 gallons of fluid, you'll have to convert from gallons to Liters. DO NOT OVERFILL AND RUN IT. IT WILL DESTROY THE TRANS. You more than likely did if fluid ran out the top air bleeder. Drain some out so it's below the...

2003 E350 barely run after fuel fillup.

    Idi crank no start

How long does the WTS stay on? Takes a lot of cranking to expell all the air when replacing all that you did. Keep a battery charger on the batteries when cranking. You could remove the GP's to let the engine turn over faster or tow it if you have a hand shaker.

    1990 7.3 idi grinding

1st of all, you have to check the tranny fluid when it's hot and running. Over filling these E4OD'S is hard on them, the crank will stir up the fluid causing air in the fluid and the pump don't like to pump air. Check the four bolt's/nuts on the torque converter, remove the dust cover, use a...

    No giddyup

I answered your PM about timing. If it wasn't so damn cold yet, I'd come over and help troubleshoot it with you. If you removed the IP with the gear on it, it could be way out of time. What do you mean by "I aligned the gears when I re installed it" ? If you turned the engine over while...

    commercial 7.3

That 7.3 out of a Commercial truck probably had a C6 trans hooked to it or a Manual. Putting a Diesel in a Gasser truck is a whole ball of wax. Your gonna need a diesel harness or do a lot of wiring. The reason you don't have a TPS is because the C6 had a VRV on the IP, even if you put a TPS on...

    Looking at 6.9 to buy
