We have a 94 psd that only seems to be firing on one side of the engine. When you crank it the volt meter stays on zero, and the check engine light comes on. I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions? I figured if it was the cps the whole thing would be dead not one side.
Diamond eye makes a 5" for the obs fords. I got there cat back setup to put on my fummins and it seems to work okay, its a tad bit overkill though. haha
You'll need to make a downpipe setup of somesort, plus If you use the dodge alternator and ac compressor youll have to change some wiiring if I recall.
You shouldnt have a problem making the adapter plate. If I remeber right on my clutch it was a dodge flywheel, ford clutch and throughout bearing. Dont hold me to it though at the time I was eager to get it in, and wasnt concerned with the details. As far as the starter goes I didnt have to...
Ill try to help you out some.
1.The manifold you use kind of depends what motor mounts you use. Some mounts put your turbo closer to the ac box than others. On mine I used the dodge manifold and flipped it over which required a spacer plate. If I were you I'd try the commercial manifold...
It all depends on what you want but I will say engine swaps are a ton of work. Mine started out being fun, then I got sick of it about half way through because of all the nickle and dime stuff. I however cannot say it wasnt worth every penny in the end. I got to keep my old ford Ive had scince...
Im not sure how big the 8.3 is on measurments either. How many miles did it have on it? Those things are a sleeveless block just like the 5.9 and it seems like 250k in a medium duty truck there shot so they throw them away for a new one. A 5.9 is pretty long in a pickup engine bay, so Im sure...
Gotta love a budget cummins swap. Mine started out as a budget then turned into a 5k dollar deal. If you have any questions I can try to help Im just finishing mine up.
I know when I did my d60 swap the spring place I called in kc had different weight ratings I could choose from. Im pretty sure they also offered them with three instead of two. I think Firestone or airlift makes an airbag kit for the front of our trucks as well.
My truck set about the same height when i put a 12v in it. Thats on stock f350 springs, if a guy was running a heavy bumper I would say he needs heavier springs.
Ive got a 7.3 engine out of my 94 for sale. According to the odometer its got around 170k on it. I bought the truck off of a neighbor in 06 and he was the original owner. I know it needs new glow plugs, the injection pump was rebuilt at 100k and new injectors at 140k. Im not going to garuntee...
Could you tell me the part number off of those? I really like cat batteries but didnt know if they made the right size. All of their batteries on our stuff is way to big.
I know it hurts your fuel milage. I probably lock/unlock mine a dozen times a day feeding cattle when its muddy. I cant stand leaving them locked in when I dont need them. Snow packed roads are the only time Ill leave them locked and my fuel milage sucks.
Someone was telling me about a 404 swap a while back. They saw it in a farm show magazine. I was contemplating putting a 404 or cat engine in a pickup, but they dont spin enough rpms to work in my pickup.
Okay Im at a good spot to mod my fill necks. The back tank hasnt hardly taken fuel scince Ive owned the truck. From what ive read you basically gut the rollover valves, splice a new barb in them, and run a line up to the top of your fillneck. My question is what kind of fitting do you put in the...
