Yes, WTS still comes on and engine cranks, and smoke comes out tailpipe. It even tries to fire up. Then nothing.

I’m thinking about a pigtail to bypass the PCM and put 12 volts strait to the IPR. Just to check the pcm. Then a manual fuel...
I only have the ability to read codes on this truck. I heard about the Forscan app and using a WiFi OBD plug-in. Will that give live data?
Also- with the truck NOT starting how will live data be of help?
Right now the truck is totally DEAD, cranks but no start. In the morning I’ll pursue looking at all fuses and fuel bowl heat element being burned out. With the WTS light coming on as it was stalling out, the power supply to pcm stopping makes sense.
I did inspect the wire harness over the valve...
I’m gonna need to check to oil level in HPOP.
The ICP looks like a 1997 original! But unplugging it didn’t help it start.
1- I plan to check fuel bowl
2- HPOP oil level

Ok, the code is cleared. Made no difference. I unplugged the ICP, and the truck started. But still stalled. There’s no oil in the ICP plug. ICP looks original too, it’s the old type with the nut at the base. I don’t have a fuel pressure gauge yet. Guess that’s next.
I know I keep asking about the same truck and it’s troubles. But here it is again:

Has code for CPS. Been replaced twice! New, motor craft CPS!
I’ve traced the CPS plug and wires and find no fault.
Truck sometimes barely starts. Then idles ok for a little while. Then starts idling...
It’s not really proactive. I think it’s the reason it stalled out 2 weeks ago. Gotta get the old scanner out and look see if I have a code for something else. I read the IPR leaves no codes.?
As I’m coming along in understanding how the 7.3 PSD works I believe I should replace the IPR and IPC preemptive to having a dead on roadside occurrence.
Two questions about doing this:
1- do these need motor craft brand replacements, or can I get by with aftermarket?
2- are all 7.3 IPR/IPC the...
New CPS arrived. I installed it today. Guess I’ll see if “no start” happens again. The old was gray. The new is dark blue?? I’m not sure what that means.... new one is motor craft.
