I live in Prospect OR. I have a 1984 F-350 Dually Flatbed 4x4. It has a transpanted 7.3l IDI non turbo. Interior is a bit rough. No A/C. I just changed oil and filters. 1984 4x4 dually flatbed with 7.3idi I want to get more top end for towing my 12klb fifth wheel. It has a T-19 4 spd. Which would be the best solution? 1) - 3" straight pipe exhaust, with a ZF-5? 2) - is a turbo even worth using on a standard transmission since I would go thru the gears so fast...- James1966

I want to get more top end for towing my 12klb fifth wheel. It has a T-19 4 spd. Which would be the best solution? 1) - 3" straight pipe exhaust, with a ZF-5? 2) - is a turbo even worth using on a standard transmission since I would go thru the gears so fast anyway? 84 F-350 dually 4wd flatbed, with 7.3L, not a 6.9
I bought this for $500. It has unknown mileage and a 7.3idi instead of the 6.9. I put new oil, fuel and oil filters, cut the bowl out of the air filter. The tranny appears to be the T-19 4spd. She started right up with new batteries after sitting with old fuel for the past 6yrs. Can anyone give...- James1966
