I'm currently trying to switch over to manual control of my GPs. I have replaced all the plugs but I cant get one to get hot. Cant I just hook one up to the battery with jumpers and watch it get hot? The plugs I have are AC delco 10.5V, Why don't they get hot on 12.75V?

The #2 glo plug tip is missing.... In servicing my 1985 f 250 6.9 I noticed the #2 was testing bad. I'm changing over my plugs to manual control and figured now is the time to get the system in tip top shape......
