So , the truck I drive for work. 2003 F550, has a wonderful issue , while driving very randomly the glow plug light comes on and the trans tow light will reset. Its looking like the maf sensor plug is corroded and has been hot. Going to start with the MAF and a new connector.
But im open to any suggestions.
And I am certain it is not fuel or harness related as I have been thru all of that.

My friend that works at ford and is a mechanic even tho he wears technician badges, lol , says 03 ^.0's are really lax on turning on the SES or CEL.

An update. Borrowed a known good ficm, runs as good as it ever did. No stalls, drove it a couple hours today trouble free.
And haven't changed maf yet. So hope it's solved.
More later.

The ficm is a common trouble maker.
Watching the ficm voltage would probably tell a lot.

And thats exactly what it was , . I sent the FICM to http://www.ficmrepair.com/ and they tested it and told me exactly what was wrong. The logic module was toast. The driver half was fine and I was going to have them do a full rebuild with lifetime warranty and the guy said it really wasnt needed because the rest was in great shape.
I did opt for the 40hp atlas tune and OMG does this truck drive like they should have from the factory. I have an sct tuner and it know makes boost right off idle instead of a week after you take off.
I couldnt be happier and recommend them greatly.
The owner and I talked for an hour after learning I knew some EFI tuning stuff and they have a good program going it sounds like.

Spot on Ron.
Yeah, those things are laggy stock. At least the ones I've been around.
But once you're moving, man on man.

Getting my share of those things in the shop lately. Can bout diagnose em without the scanner, except for the pile I have in the shop now.
Russ I am kinda jelly on that Atlas 40hp tune. Really want to have that done to mine but having the early 03 strategy I'm still on the fence as it runs like a scalded dawg now with just canned SCT x3 tunes.
