Ok, well keep us posted on how you like it. I am pretty sure I'm going to get Mel's moose boost turbo as well, but it all depends how funds end up with my engine build.

I should have it running soon. I will report back with some data once I get it on the road.

For some reason I was thinking the turbo came from mel with a 1.15 exhaust housing, but if its a .72 I think that would be even better for quicker spool. I already bought the upgrade kit from mel so I could upgrade later, but I may do it while I'm doing the rest of the engine. Decisions decisions, haha!

I looked at some pictures. The intake side is the .72, I can't see the numbers on the exhaust side in the pictures, nor do I remember at the moment. I will look tomorrow to give you the numbers.

It's a little hard to read on the exhaust side. I guess I'll just have to ask mel when I get to that point, haha!

the exhaust says
A/R
M3
K1

from what I can tell there aren't any other numbers. not sure if that helps.

The exhaust numbers are inside the housing near the inlet flange. Photobucket is still screwing me or I'd show you.

Saturday was the first day this motor saw some RPMs.

it took a few cranking cycles and it got some fuel and fired right up. it sounds really good, way better then the old motor. I don't have any coolant in it yet so I only ran it a few times for short periods.

I hooked up the GPC this morning and let them heat up and it started great. the fuel pressure gauge isn't showing any pressure yet but is hasn't run much longer then a minute or so. the turbo isn't fully plumbed yet so its half N/A.

I should be getting the rest of the parts for the coolant system this week. once I get those I can really let it run for a bit. in the mean time I will be mocking up the hood so I can get the IC in place.

I forget what brand I got. I'll look and let you know. They look decent and came complete with bulbs.
