so since ive chopped up my intake, I am going to delete the CDR.
make a catch can, and plumb it to the intake
I dislike RDT's

started a catch can this morning.
using 3" SS exhaust tubing about 6" tall.
ordered -8AN weld in bungs SS of course.
I also ordered a 1" SS barb fitting for the valley pan grommet.
(same size as a turbo pedestal)

I tried cutting the internal baffles on the drill press today, and before I got through my first one,
I roached the 3" hole saw.

plan B have a buddy plasma them.
inside will be 5 of these

Are you going to add fins on the outside to help cool it? Cooling more so than baffles will condense the vapors. I'd mount it at the front of the engine where the clutch fan is blowing, or in front of the radiator if possible. You could probably get away with aluminum it resists corrosion well enough. Aluminum cools better too.

no, im not worried about the heat. the plates im putting in it will sort of act like that.
my aluminum welding skills are much to be desired, so SS it is.

I was thinking the same thing almost. I was going to use a 30 lb freon bottle with baffling and a drain.

Useing the bottle I was going to have 4 ports one inlet, intake outlet, drain (one way drain down to the oil pan) and a low pressure release. If the intake can't suck it fast enough. The drain depending on where I can mount it at might be stuck under my flat bed.

This is what my cng cummins looks like. (Just a diesel cummins pic, the motor is at the shop.) The green housing has a filter in it.

Could one put a hose on the fuel pump block off plate and run it up to the intake where the cdr hose goes. Then block off the cdr?

The heigth would hopefully condense the vapors and drip back into the crank case

So, from my own experiance:
Most of oil vapors aren't vapors that need condensing. They are more like 'oil mist' - little droplets that have been sprayed into the air.

I just used a 4" can, 6" tall with a single baffle plate down the middle, holes near the bottom, and filled it with that fiberglass air filter media.
In one 50 mile trip(on a previous engine that used a /lot/ of oil), that setup pulled out an entire glass soda bottle's worth of oil.

Note that I just left the CDR on that setup; installing this between the supply from the front of the engine(banks system) and the CDR.

I started a thread about this awhile back. Now that I'm back to work I'll be able to get the materials and it'll just be a matter of finding the time to make the catch can. I had the same idea. Instead of using a "filter" inside the can, I'd use a series of baffles to catch and condense the blowby. Then a drain in the bottom with the whole thing bolted at an angle so that stuff never goes back into the engine.

my way of thinking is if I use 5 plates, they will be my "media"
holes offset of course.
drill holes on the outside and plug weld them through the side.
that's if I cant get my torch in there.

I started on my catch can the other day. Then my T19 grenaded on Thursday, so not sure when I'll be finishing it up. Pretty much the same concept and will be getting those SS pot scrubbers in between the plates.

I found Many results online, this one was bright purple and mentioned racing and turbo. Many were basic black set ups though for around 30-100$

There's a mishimoto one that comes in a bunch of colors also and it has a clear plastic tube in the side as a gage to tell when it's full also but a stainless custom one would be nice also, could just be used a like a reference for ideas as well that's what I like to do!
