Oil Cooler End Erosion

Is it common for the coolant passages in the ends of the oil cooler that bolt to the block to be eroded? Need to get it the rest of the way out for a closer look, but it looks like the coolant passage is pretty chewed up inside the ends of the oil cooler. Trying to determine the if I need to order new coolant ends.

And if I can ever get the cooler out of there I'll post pictures of it.

They are definitely shot. Anyone have a set of ends for sale?

I wouldn't necessarily say they are shot. Looks like there's some corrosion in there but not bad. That's somewhat common with a ~30 year old oil cooler. I would have a machine shop hot tank and rod out the tubes on oil cooler & re-seal it.

One end is corroded through the side.

yes its common but not as bad. i took apart a donor engine i have that had corrosion in it. but it was minor. i see the coolers on ebay from time to time.
