Hauling an IDI

Would this trailer safely transport one of our trucks?

Looking to buy a car/truck hauler soon. Let me know what I need to be looking for please.

I haven't done much hauling over the years.

Say anywhere from a 3-6 hour drive.

imho it's too light. ok for garden tractors and small implements.
if you can find a 8x20 deckover with a minimum of two 6 lug axles, you have more load adjustment options in front of you.

What towcat said, you need 6 lug 5000 pound axles. Remember you haul the truck plus the weight of the trailer. 3500 pound axles would be light for that.

For that price you can find a lot better trailer in my opinion, that would be heavy enough to do what you want.

Yeah, exactly. A bit too light.
My '88 extended cab weighed in 6600lbs on the scale empty; you'd really be pushing the axles on that trailer.
Find something heavier, and if you find one that has a tilt-bed, it's a /really/ nice option.

You could probably find a heavier gooseneck that's at least 20' for about that price as well.

Nope. Trailer is rated for 7k. Trailer prolly weighs 2000 lbs. Our trucks weigh 6000+
