Beating a rice rocket with another one is nowhere near as fun as leaving them behind a cloud of smoke so thick they could swear their fartcan is cathing on fire. I wouldn't trade that for a lambo and my 6.4 gives me just that.

You wouldn't think that so cute if you or a loved one comes down with cancer latter in life. For every action, there is a reaction.

Although everyone is susceptible to diesel soot pollution, children, the elderly, and individuals with preexisting respiratory conditions are the most vulnerable. Researchers estimate that, nationwide, tens of thousands of people die prematurely each year as a result of particulate pollution.

Your thinking is very short minded about making a ricer pay, when in the long run, your simply hurting our children and the land that we all have a part to protect and care for.

Your childish attitude towards smoking other cars (ricers) is not getting you many favors. :(

I do not condone "rollin coal" in any way. I'm merely pointing out what happens when you floor a tuned up diesel which most of you own.

Stop acting like I'm deliberately polluting your air, neither of my trucks will even produce a haze of smoke 99% of the time. I don't go around billowing soot on people for fun.

Do I race other people at lights sometimes? Yes. Flame away if you haven't. I just so happen to not own any gassers so yes, they do smoke at wot. But you already knew that. rant done

edit: Holy derail! :sorry:

I pretty much don't really "roll coal" very often.. I also don't use the turn "ricer" as some may take offense.. I do play sometimes though. I would love to make power without as much smoke and more mods too clear it up are coming soon. all the unburmt fuel is just horsepower I could gain right now by modding to burn it.

we had a 1996 F250 460efi with ZF and 3.55s. had 240,000km and only had it on the road for about 2 yrs. nobody would drive it because the rules were you had to fill the tank when it came home. fuel economy was ALWAYS between 5 and 7mpg. anything from empty trying to shift at 1500rpm to save fuel and hauling 8000lbs behind it. this truck is a 2wd CCshortbed . so in the 52-5500lb range empty. it was horrible , dual tanks were not enough!
the truck got parked !

replacement was my E350 extended clubwagon 7.3 powerstroke 4R100 , 3.55s it had 360,000km on it. empty mileage is 18-25mpg depending on ambient temp. trailer towing 16-22mpg . it weighs 7000lbs empty with a handfull of tools and a coupel chains on the rear floor. I drive it hard empty or loaded. and have hauled over 12000lbs behind it many times. it is my daily driver also.

the truck we had before the 460 crew was a 1990 F350 supercab dually 7.3idi ATS turbo,e4OD 4.10s on the little dually tires. doign the same work it could get almost 20mpg on a highway run but usually 15-18mpg empty or loaded. sold it to a buddy who consistently gets over 20mpg" he drives truck for a living so different long skinny habits than me.

we pay a lot more for fuel here in Canada so mileage is a big factor

if you are only going to put as few thousand miles a year on it go big block. my diesels have not been much more expensive to run other than oil changes because the diesels get about 3 or 4 times as many miles put on them.:peelout

a 300 6 cyl efi with a 5spd manual can make some fun for you with some minor mods and still haul a trailer when you need to.

if you want some fun with a 460 , build it 12-13:1 compression :rock:and run propane. here in Ontario propane is half cost of 87 octane.

Still undecided. I have both a IDI and gasser dashes with wiring. So thats not a problem except on the other side of the firewall. The gasser was a 88 with a 302. Still have the computer just not the harness or any of that. Finding a IDI core for a/c is still proving to be a challenge.
And for those complaining about coal rolling as polluting, Take a ride down the energy corridor where all your fuels are made. You wouldn't believe it. I know, I worked in them plants and live less than 10 miles from some. ALL of these plants are old and failing but the companies are constantly trying to keep them safe and running. By-products and some pollution is inevitable. So the kid that blacks out a ricer is really doing nothing in the big picture.
This truck might see alot of miles or it might not. Don't have a dedicated purpose for it. I have a 04 F350 with a 6.0 that is never driven. Don't really have a need to. Like I said, Really don't know what to do with it.
