I have a 088 right now, could use a rebuild but that's 400$ plus 200$ for ww2 because I want to upgrade it some at least, I have been thinking of getting a different turbo from a Cummings or a powestroke maybe but I don't have the same common exhaust flange every turbo system has but mine it seems. Is there a place to buy a "universal" flange I can connect to my current slip fit up piping to save me work on designing custom up pipe? Id be adding some to it to position my turbo under the hood better and I plan on intercooling so intake I takin care of already just exhaust in and out of turbo. Would like to make it sit similar to how it is now back and centered kinda. The 088 just doesn't burn the fuel down low at all is why I'm considering a different turbo st up. Done all the basic mods to help it(large exhaust4inch, large intake+filter, wrapped up piping, retarded timing and sealed up99.9% exhaust leaks pre turbo

Try a puff limiter on the ip? I kinda like turning a corner and hitting 3rd with just a little throttle.

Man that sounds like a lot of work... r and d has some sweet turbo setups if you got the cheddar...

I read somewhere someone had a turbo pullin 2 lbs of boost at idle maybe? Typ4 has a turbo mod, dont know the paticulars, might be able to keep the up/down pipes/pedestal/oil feed in the same place.

How much boost you looking to push? Or is it just a novelty - which is still pretty freakin cool

Kinda tight budget building, my buddy is giving me a hx35 I think? But I heard they are too small but if it's free it's for me lol but I can be pretty creative with stuff, I was hoping to find a flange to pipe into that I can attaché a turbo of some kind to? I'm not sure how other turbos won but the square 4 bolt pattern is what I'm wanting to find to do this also not sure excactly what I need or want maybe a stick turbo off something else because they seem to be cheap and readily available on Craigslist in "good" shape and stock turbos tend to Be pretty reliable I'm just not good at sizing them or which ones would be decent for my truck.. good low spool waste gated and better than what's there now.. needs intake wheel/rebuild someday soon lol just looking to clean up exhaust some but actually use the fuel I have to make power with

I think your 088 is a t-3 flange, mine are a t-4 flange.

the turbos are the same, just clocked differently
Oh because both the cold sides are facing in I thought one was different but it's because it's turned around that the housing is clocked the other way, but yes thank you that's excactly what I was looking for but when I searched it I worded it wrong and ended up with nothing that looked like that just a bunch of hot side housing for random turbos. I was talking with Justin from r and d one day and he said it was also possible to buy a turbo with the same hot wheel as my current one but with larger compressor on it and it would pretty much bolt right in to my exhaust and to the pedistal with little to no modification to be a upgrade possibility also anyone every try such a thing?

Which turbo and exhaust housing if you don't mind me asking? I think you may have inspired me to run twins on the Mustang when I do the IDI swap. Which build are these in? Please take more pics of the exhaust manifolds and the up pipes when you can. ;Poke
Um, dude...
Check out the "diesel conversion forum" for his build thread already. Here on OB.
