Please show everyone your center and overhead consoles! Those that don't have them may want them! Those that do have then may want one like yours! Show off you Centurion or other custom manufactured consoles, your handmade/homebrew consoles, and if you have a console you nabbed from something else, show us that too!

There has been a lot of talk since I've joined the OB about interior consoles and questions on how to make them and dimensions. I've personally had a few people interested, so maybe a console thread is a good idea. It would not only benefit the lot of us to have custom console information, but also to know what else fits (like Bronco consoles for example, or whatever else works). Thanks for the idea @chillman88

So please post pictures and measurements and share the cup holders and switches!

Here's mine...

Manufacturer: Western Hauler with my personal fixes/improvements.

Type: Center console and half-length overhead console.

Material: Wood, acrylic sheeting, aluminum diamond plate.

Truck: Enterprise D, 1990, Ford, CCLB, dually, currently 2wd.

Inserting as thumbnails.

The overhead first. This originally had a compact CB set in an acrylic surround in the top hole and maybe an acrylic switch panel in the bottom hole? It was gutted when I bought the truck.

Dimensions:

Overall length - 35.25"
Overall width - 8.5"
Overall height - 5.25" (at tallest point)

Yes, the fullsize CB on the bottom obstructs the rear view mirror. I'm short so relocating it down the windshield is in the plans.

Center console in next post.

Overall height - 9.125" (at tallest point)

Center storage box dimensions:

Inside length - 10" (front to back)
Inside width - 9"
Inside height - 6"

Don't mind the dirty floor! You can see that the rear cup holder portion is on a tilt. This thing was only held together south long staples. That portion will eventually get tossed and replaced with a new section that doesn't let drinks hit the rear floor during acceleration.

Hope this helps some folks and I hope more people post detailed info as well!

That ^^^^ is cool, nice and generic. Any 411 on the install? I wonder if the gauge mount could be fabbed to angle the gauge faces toward the driver.

Can you get a pyro with leads long enough to reach all the way up there?

I picked up an Isspro for my pyro. Diesel Manor also sells multiple different lengths of Isspro's extension cables. They connect with ring terminals and bolts with 2 sections of heat sheathing for the connections.

Old CV that works when it feels like it.
Thinking of doing away with it for some gauges.

My pyro is mounted up there yes. The gauge I use is similar to the Isspro gauges which uses a special removable harness that you can get in different lengths (0ver 50' if need be). Mine is made by VDO.. I bought the gauge, probe, and harness all separate. The probe that came with the gauge was 1/4" probe... I switched it out for a 1/8" K type thermocouple for faster gauge response and I think my harness was 10' or 12'.. cant recall.
