my opinion is purely speculation.
im a hotrodder at heart, so the need for cool parts is a must.
people have claimed they get 10 years on their plastic caps.
and that's all good and all,
but I really really dislike plastic crap on my vehicles.
most likely the 165 bucks I spent can keep plastic caps and new o rings on your truck for decades.
the aluminum return rails are not a must, unless youre addicted to cool stuff.
I have spent the past few years acquiring parts for a twin turbo build.
and this was on my list of must have items.

Is that floorjack the instrument of carnage I recall from bronkosaurus?

Nice progress.
Whats the plan for the grill work?

got started on hangin the front sheet metal.
only 1 "core support" so when it flexes, the doors will still open.

soon as I make a behemoth bumper, it should help disperse the 100 lbs holding it lol

I plated the front of the frame to the 4x4,
and installed studs on the frame for the radiator.
still gotta make a mount for the radiator but...
minus the floor and the dog house, the major fab work is done!!!
I take that back, I still have 2 more intermediate body mounts to do.
then its on to the fun stuff!!
tomorrow ill run fuel line and install a holley fuel pump.
my powersteering should be here tomorrow, so I can finally mount the alternator and the PS pump.
then on to my most favorite part of building cars...
HEADERS!!!
I have a week and a half left on this project.
then a 56 Lincoln comes into the shop to finish up a chop!

welded the fuel tank braces in today.
welded in the upper shock mounts, and mounted shocks in the rear.
got my powersteering pump and alternator mocked up.
this is the way v-belts are supposed to look!
I still need to make spacers and tensioners, but it don't look like its going to be hard at all.
grabed the gp38's out of storage.
and its time for headers!
I think these turbos are too big...:D
