Is this where the Fummins guys are supposed to go? Saw a couple in the 12v section too

Kinda making light of that they don't have their own area with as popular of a swap that they've become. Perhaps eventually there will be a Fummins tab, DT/OBS tab since there seems to be a few of those. TDI's into yota's and Samuri's is picking up steam around here in my state I've noticed. Not sure how many on OB are doing it though.

I'll probably keep this as my swap thread. It'll be very very slow going for now as I still have lots of parts to collect and it's just not high up on the priority list.
So story is I picked up a 92/93 12 valve. No pump or injectors on/in the engine. Came with a P-pump and associated swap parts. Pump is for a engine rated at 230hp/600ftlbs from a motor home/medium duty truck. I got to digging into my boxes of parts and started playing with stuff and found that the rack in the pump was stuck. Did some googling, the general opinion was get the pump rebuilt, local fuel shop was any where from $1600-$2200 to have this done. There was no flakes in the oil out of the pump, no rust in or under the delivery valves so I decided I'm gonna unstick this sob. Over a week later with clean ATF and some fiddling, all the sleeves have finally broke loose and every thing seems to be working as it should. Now before I attempt running this pump I AM having it flowed as I did rack the barrels as part getting the thing broke loose.

Nice going on the investigative work and fix, Leeland!

Figured worst case scenario was having to buy a pump that every one was saying needed to happen any way. Been a while since I've talked to you Brandon, what's new with the DT?

Glad to yack with ya, Leeland. It has been awhile.

I'm still around, I just don't get on here much anymore. As far as the DT is concerned, there hasn't been any forward progress recently. I moved to Milwaukie, OR into a house that has only a single-car garage. And now it is full of all the stuff I had in my old four-bay shop.

Between that and working crazy overtime out in The Dalles on a fairly large data center, I probably won't be making much headway on garage/shop projects for the foreseeable future.
