I'll let you know when I get it all on the road. Check my build thread. You are looking for late December early January time frame. My install mirrors the one in the tech articles with my own flair since it's a different turbo. F250XLTHD (I just butchered his handle) wrote it up for a Banks.

I was contemplating getting the full kit for 150 that comes with a intercooler and a bunch of 2.5 piping kit anyone use one do they work kinda good for the price? I feel like it can't be that good but maybe get by until I buy a better intercooler? Still having trouble deciding bar and plate or tube fin and the size I should be getting the bar and plate has it listed to support 400hp and <600cfm is that sufficient?

Hey there. Can you do me a solid? Ive heard some one some where at some point say that an intercooler would increase the turbo lag. But others have said it wont matter much.
Can you keep an eye on that before and after intercooler turbo lag for me?
If i rmember right if a guy keeps <10psi the heat rise isnt too bad
Are you rocking 15psi with head bolts still?

Intercooler will cause some lag due to the extra volume. If it's sized correctly, it probably won't be noticeable and the benefit of reduced temps should far outweigh the negatives.

Stock head bolts for now, only 170k on motor, no head gasket failure yet but only been running that a short time and only briefly at wot. I am also wondering about the turbo lag but I've done things to improve on that pre instal, wrapped up pipes, 4 inch exhaust straight pipe, large intake and filter not the 088 box. I'm not too worried about loosing some boost or a little lag because I want my motor and set up to last a while. Hoping I sized everything correctly enough that I shouldn't have to worry about lag and boost lost. Kinda set it up to see if everything I need is there, just need one boot to connect to turbo and then I can hopefully instal theoritically it should fit taking measurements later today from truck. So far still under 400$ budget I set for myself but we will see lol

Now with some measurement I took between rain showers, I've come up with a different looking mock up that should be close to what will go on in a few days hopefully. I'm more conserned about turbo lag now having to use pretty much every piece of the universal kit I got, hopefully it's not too bad I hope I don't have to buy any more pieces though!

Lookin good man. Is your turbo gated or non? I like that hat in place of the ATS hat. Especially since the original didn't have to be modified. ;Sweet

Looks sweet man! I wouldnt think you would lose any max boost. And the intercooler looks sized good to me.
Pulling hills and dyno run i wouldnt think a little extra turbo lag would matter much

Just put a WW2 on today
Had the turbo off but couldnt split the exhaust side clear off to get a wrench on the shaft.
Got the exhaust snail where the waste gate flap is. Had to torch every single bolt to get that far. Theeeeen there was an odd nut on the exhaust wheel. Had to use an impact and vice grip to get the stock compressor wheel off
