Luk 07-100 clutch issues

I recently bought a luk 07-100 clutch kit for my 89 7.3 idi engine and zf5, DMF flywheel. The bolt holes for the new clutch don't line up for the flywheel, has anyone ever ran into this or did I buy the wrong part for a 12 inch clutch upgrade?

Most people just swap out to a SMF, so you probably won't get much info.



After reading the LuK RepSet catalog, I think you got the right part... for a 12" upgrade.

I'm guessing perhaps there's an upgraded 12" DMF flywheel floating around somewhere?



I'm thinking you have three options here:

1. Have a local machinist add some new bolt holes in the flywheel for the new pressure plate. Any machinist worth his salt ought to be able to do this easily.

2. Send your kit back and get the 11" DMF kit(07-076)

3. Send your kit back and get the 12" SMF kit.

I read the statements below the kit you bought it looks like It may have said something about check part catalog for a 12 inch dmf that goes with that particular clutch possibly I could Be wrong though. The clutch is defiantly for a dmf though if your part number If correctly posted

I'll try to see if I can get a machinist to drill it in unless there is another option for a 12 inch clutch out there? I'm adding a turbo to it so would like to upgrade the clutch now that I have it apart, maybe shouldve went with the SMF option but read a lot of ppl didnt like it after they put it in.

It does make a little more noise than a dual mass is what most complain about but overall I think mine performs better than my dual mass stock setup did, I got the luk 12.25 clutch with smf setup it wasn't very expensive for a whole clutch setup with flywheel
