Alright guys time to get a quad pillar :D. Right now I have an EGT, Trans Temp, and Boost gauge sitting on dash.

Ill be ordering Oil Pres, Water Temp, Fuel Pres, Trans Temp. I'll also be replacing the EGT and Boost to an overhead when I have the money.

Shouldn't need drill and tap set, I should be able to plug into everything right? I also want to keep both water temp and oil pressure gauges working on cluster, what do I need to do? Also should I include the standard fuse circuit?

I left my factory gauge switches in place. I tee'd off the factory oil pressure port to run the factory switch, the mechanical gauge tube and a safety shut off switch for the electric lift pump (N/A IDI, so I had the room). For the water temp, I pulled one of the pipe plugs in the driver's head (down between exhaust mani and valve cover). Also installed a tee fitting at the fuel filter head for the fuel pressure.

If you have the time/patience to look through the thread in my signature, IIRC is detailed in there.

these engines do not have an access port for the EGT/pyrometer
will need to drill and tap this. I suggest doing it off the vehicle

As IDIoit suggested, drilling/taping for the thermocouple is easiest off the engine and out of the truck. I did mine inside since I wasn't taking the engine out/apart. It's a PITA to do it in the truck.

It has a pyrometer in it now, but it is in the downpipe so I just add a couple hundred degrees. I haven't really seen it go above 6 on the gauge. This truck isn't a race horse or anything, just good ole' reliable.

What do you guys say about the expandable circuits, did any of you do something like that for gauges?
