So my temps are good they are running at a 2 to 14 degree difference but my eot never sees higher than 198 today it never got above 184 and my coolant was 197 to 178 i am running a sct exhaust and intake blue spring upgrade and thats it for upgrades i replaced the injectors about 6 months ago the the cylinder contribution is reading 0 to -4 on all cylinders i am at a loss as to why i have this stumble or miss degas bottle is clean and still full im not loosing any coolant other than a slow drip on the heater control valve at the screw no smoke ipr is at 30% idle 85 while cranking icp is 630s at idle and 1600 while cranking its so crazy part of me thinks its the vgt solenoid because the clip is broke on it but i zip tied it awhile back. also note i took my tuner off (back to stock) and its blows a light haze at wot i changed the oil over to t6 today and hot shot secret any help please

Whats your FICM voltage cranking, idling and running?

Should be under "FICM main internal injector V" on your SCT

Low temps could be a bad thermostat (they get stuck open, not closed) or just the cold weather.

48.5 cranking 49 to 48.5 running and usually 48 sometimes jumps to 49 idling ive checked the ficm with my solus edge and it checks out yea i thought about doing a flush and new thermostat i know it has green coolant in it already i can't speculate on it being the proper coolant as i didn't do it thank you for a quick reply and your input

Voltage looks normal. Do you have fully functioning EGR? The haze could be related to a gunked up EGR valve, not sure about the miss. Contribution tests usually indicate either a bad FICM or a bad injector.

the egr was cleaned in solvent about a month ago one day i was bored and took it out took the orings off and soaked it in carb cleaner and wirebrushed it off and i did an egr test and it seems to be working by the scan as i add percentage to it go from 15% to 85% and you hear the exhaust change and pressures drop

I dont think the cracked y pipe would cause a miss but it would certainly cause some turbo lag and abnormally high egts depending on how bad of a crack it is.

You can determine whether your turbo vanes are cycling by disconnecting the VGT, you should notice a change in the exhaust tone to a deep rumble. VGT duty cycle % as well.

It'd be worth going over the common points of failure before you throw any more parts at it. (EBP tube, ICP)

Maybe even fuel filters, it almost sounds as in you're intermittently starving for fuel (white haze/miss)

I can't think of much more than that. These trucks can be frustrantingly temperamental :dunno

update yesterday on ride home ebp readings were in high 200s and 300s all this is while its stock and also when it was doing so when i would let off it would bark back thru the intake so i think i will try a ebp sensor monday as we live in the sticks and local napa doesn't have anything and advance and autozone are a 45 mile hike icp runs 1200s at 60mph to

What year is your truck? Some early strategies don't use the ebp sensor. They run on inferred values. SCT can't read ebp correctly IIRC. The more I think about it the more it seems to me that either your EBP tube is coked up/bad EBP sensor or your VGT vanes are stuck oooor your unisong ring is worn out (been there done that) gotta love a 6 oh lol

the exhaust changes tone when you unplug the soleniod and if i use the solus and command it then it does the same and if i leave it open it will start getting like a carb truck or car and start loading up i am going to check the ebp tube and i want to trade turbos with my neighbor who bought a truck and had to have a bunch of work on it and the guy didn't give him tuner anywho its a bd turbo super bee i think and without tuning it doesn't light properly and he said if i traded them out and rebuilt mine he would trade me straight out

Get the exhaust leak fixed as these beasts have high drive pressures that are needed.
Any loss in that will spike the EGT's and throw off your temps.
Turbo barking isn't good for it either so try avoiding those hard throttle quick letoffs or that turbo will begin to eat itself up.
Since you have good sticks and numbers look good, I am suspecting the EGR valve is sticking.

i turned the jakebrake on the sct and just used the box tune street so i could use that and work the turbo and on the way to the shop this morning the vgt was stuck at .84 by sct which is obvisouly 84% and no power so i think its the unison ring needs cleaned i need to get it in here and take the turbo off and go through it and i ordered a new ebp just for good measure the egr shows on the solus to be working properly

Sounds like you keep finding problems. The first thing then is address the exhaust leak and cleaning of the veins and unison ring. As far as the EGR valv goes, that last one I had issues with showed fine on the scan tool until the miss occurred. Intake pressures were forcing it open just enough to creat the miss and would see a blip on the monitor when it hiccupped.

I took the turbo off this afternoon and cleaned the unison ring and vanes and it looked good its all put back together it started getting dark i didn't have room in the shop so i did it out in the parking lot so tomorrow im going to take the ipr out and make sure its clean and the orings are good i wish i had an egr delete kit ready to go in since i have the turbo out instead of spending the 115 bucks on the egr valve i also wish i was putting a kc stage 1 on it instead but don't have the money for a tranny
