Hey guys, im doing a tranny swap in my 94 f250, from e4od to zf5 but my setup didnt have the shim plate between the tranny and engine. I need it to act as a drill pattern guide to get my truck up and running. Not sure what they are worth but i only need it temporarily as a guide so im hoping we can work something out

If you have the trans out, 2 bolts takes it off the block if memory serves. They may be behind the flywheel if it's installed.

They must use one farmer Frank. Ive read the write ups on this forum that say the shim plate is sandwiched between the trans and engine

He says he needs a drill pattern so i assumed he was drilling a 460 trans.

No shim plates. Just the adapter plate. It's and inch thick. Just unbolt it from the block. Simple as hell

I've been wrong before but I've also had enough of these engines out that I can say it's not a shim plate. It's 1" of steel that adapts the block to the bell housing.

If your trans is out then pull off your flex plate or flywheel and remove the 2 1/2" bolts from the back. Pry it off and bolt it to your trans. Drill holes accordingly.

Ya, i was confused. When i had the writeup it called it a shim plate and when i googled that it showed me something totally different. Im all set, drilled the holes today.
