Hey all so I just bought a 93 f250 7.3l turbo diesel
It was running fine than all of a sudden it will not go into reverse or neutral but will go into drive
Could this be a linkage issue or is it something internally?

Welcome to the forum. Try checking the trans fluid level. DO NOT OVERFILL IT is its low. I think your trans has a cable to shift it where earlier trucks have mechanical linkage.

You say it won't go into neutral? Does it feel like it's trying to engage in a forward gear when it's in neutral? If so could be a solenoid problem or a sticky valve body. Went through this on my sons truck manually shifting the solenoids while driving. Ended up being the 2-3 up shift in valve body being stuck. Clutches were mated together from other person running out of fluid and getting to hot and warping valve body. Might not be what your problem is but you can do a search for the solenoids and it will guide you on what solenoid needs to be activated per gear. Had a link on old phone but now gone.

Let me reiterate on my post. Don't really think your problem is with the solenoids, but I would venture to guess its with your valve body or when it gets warm you reverse clutches. You probably have the e4od tranni??
