Many years ago I had an ATS 088 Turbo system and mocked up this intake, using a power stroke downpipe and an AEM Dryflow filter. I welded a plate to the tube and mounted the CDR and ran it to a banks adapter on the IP cover. Worked great for the time I had it. It all got changed in favor of my current ATS Aurora 2000 turbo system with the factory air tube over the driver side battery and the ATS airbox.

Nice!
Got $0.02 tho
If you put the cdr valve after the intercooler you can keep that oily mess out of it

Careful with the spectre filter. They're known to come apart.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

I have heard some horror stories featuring the spectre filter but this is only temporary until I can get a 6637. I just purchased a 5th wheel camper and it will be my first time towing this heavy so wanted to get everything set up before I go pick it up. Hopefully nothing will come apart during my 40 mile trip there and back.

Ive got a 90 pickup with a factory turbo (so i think)
Either someone swapped engines or the turbo setup WITH the valve covers and all... anyone know how to tell?

How much boost are you looking for?

Nice! If it weren't for the plastic intake tubing I would mount the cdr directly to it like you did but I'm not sure it would hold the weight so I have opted to just remotely mount it and pipe a hose into the intake tube

Camper weighs 12,750 dry. Not sure what to expect honestly boost wise as I have never had the gauge hooked up until just now but a few minutes ago I went out and tested it on the road and I was boosting at about 5psi in 3rd gear at about 2800 rpm

thats where im at

If you get a big turbo just dont blow a head gasket or the bottom end!

Bought a wicked wheel 2. Havnt got it put on, looks like its really going to suck ass, lol. I have nothing for boost until 2,000, ww2 should help build at lower rpm

Not planning on doing anything else for a while engine wise. The truck runs very well the way it is. Im pretty happy with it now knowing what a dog it was before the turbo. I got negative 200 bucks in the parts truck it came off of and was able to salvage a newly rebuilt ip, all new injectors, spare zf 5, and rear end. Needless to say I'm pretty satisfied as of right now.

Let me know how that wicked wheel works out. My dad has been looking at getting one for his truck.

Could you post some pics for me? I might be doing the same thing
Hauling cows at 25,000# my egts got 1,150 and was rocking 6psi boost. Ive got some exhaust leaks preturbo to chase down though. I aslo have the waste gate disabled. I feel comfortable running 10-12psi without head studs
